"99.5% WILL FAIL.." - SAM

I have no dog in this fight, just looking for a learning experience and entertainment. That being said.

I was reading where it said that TT daughter qualified for dental coverage from her stepfathers plan. TT wife paid for dental coverage then was reimbursed by medicaid. The stepfather was tipped off when he received an Explanation of benefits from medicaid.

Can't understand why you would want to use medicaid for healthcare when you had that covered. Unless it was to get the foodstamps.

This medicaid stuff gets kinda complicated especially when there are kids from other people you are no longer with.

Yeah I'm personally anti-door knocking. But I have agents that do it and I've seen many top agents do it with EFES. I still think it's highly inefficient.

I have no telesales experience, but I'm still not sure it is effective for the masses. For the IMO, I'm sure it's great.

50% AmAm and free leads is a deal I guess, but at the end of the day, you're making all the money.

So yeah lol, I'm anti-telesales too. But I've definitely taken my punches from the FEX crew...before and after I left.

Serious question: if 50% commission and free leads is a money make for those on the top and
Cleary there is a market for agents who don't have the capital or the experience to want to take on the risk of buying their own leads - why don't you welcome those people in and offer them a similar comp? If you outline both options to them and hey feel more comfortable with free leads and you will make a lot of money, isn't it a win win?

Judging by look on Secure Agent face - half of his two pronged telesales team would qualify for welfare.

$8..hr -- JD's correct- the owners of the sweatshop telesales make the $$$.

Bullshit. Never got down down in the mud with him? Ok, but why all the bravery now as you've been running your mouth too?:skeptical:

Not a clue what you are talking about. I've been pretty outspoken in all my years here. Also, I don't recall saying anything directed towards JD in this mess. I admit I have spoken about Travis and I've tried to be fair about it. I hope he is cleared, but I don't see how it will happen. And that is why I do believe his reputation has been destroyed in the eyes of many.

I do prefer to avoid the name calling and mud slinging. Perhaps you are upset as there hasn't been much of it of late?

For one, I think it is a failed system for the individual agent. When agents fail, they roll up debt.

Two, I want to work with entrepreneurs. I want them to have some skin in the game. When they're paying for the leads, they take ownership and they do better.

Three, we use direct mail. At 20 leads a week, I would have to front $2400 before I even see any sales. It could work, but the risk level would be insane.

This is where telesales has the edge. They can invest in cheaper lead sources, in bulk and not be bound by a small territory.

If an agent fails out with them, they can resell the lead to anybody contracted in that state.

I dont have those options. If somebody decides 4 weeks after I drop mail that they want to go work as a Walmart Greeter, I'm out $2400 without an easy way to offload those leads.

Now I've convinced myself to start a telesales agency haha! J/K

No name calling and personal attacks? Is that a joke? I guess you prefer the gossipy hen party this forum has been lately. Me? No thanks!:nah:

The one side effect of door knocking that may have not been addressed is the counter effect of a "cold" presentation... skill building. (Remember I'm and old "cold knocker", no names, down the street.)

In the fray of a "cold" presentation you learn to pivot or you die. You learn to create interest or you die. You learn ask good questions or you die. You learn to be liked or you die. You learn to listen or you die. You learn your product and how to place it or... you die.

I think there are fewer and fewer door knockers because the lack of skill. Not that people aren't very if not more successful on lead. But, the education you get from face to face cold calling is amazing... not to mention builds up resistance to being too soft skinned.
Good post! Another cold door knocker here. When you cold door knock, you learn to think on your feet.

It never gets boring because you never know who...or what's going to open that door. :twitchy:

What the hell is wrong with you? You've been kissing JD's rear end although he regularly got into you and you never had the guts to confront him. Just kissed his ass. But now that he's gone, you now feel free to run your mouth? I thought you were a Christian. Or are you just another one of those "dime a dozen" phony Christians?:skeptical:
Calm down Bill. Here, take a puff...cough cough. :)

You will have to judge whether I live by my faith or not. I often fail.. I don't see that I attacked JD or Travis with that statement. I have no real problem with JD but apparently He has a problem with me. I will defend my ideals when attacked but I don't dwell on it after the discussion is over.
