Anyone Ever Speak to a Congregation?

Name one place that makes someone buy 50-60 leads per week if you write $24-28K a month.

----------

Take things out of context much?

No place makes an agent buy 50-60 leads that I know of. I do know of some agents that buy that many and hit around the same AP as agents that buy 20-25. If someone writes a high AP amount, there are other factors that matter to know if they are a high caliber producer or not.

And I didn't take anything out of context. He said he does not bring up religion during insurance sales, so I was just curious how he can find out they are a baptized Christian in order to write them KSKJ. Simple question in my opinion. Either he talks about religion or he doesn't....

----------

If you write 200k and are buying 10-15 leads per week, that is definitely a GREAT producer. If another agent does 250k but worked 50-60 leads, he is no where close to your level in my opinion. Most of my agents that are doing 20k per month are on 20-25 DM.

Don't you have to bring up religion to write KSKJ?

You serious? Big difference in quoting scripture to make a sale and letting people know that one of your companies is a Christian Fraternal. Don't you agree?

I like the tie down at the end!!

You said..."I would never in a million years talk religion with them. I never spring that on anyone." You push a company that only allows baptized christians to get it. Was just confusing to me. Not knocking it in anyway. But I agree asking if someone has been baptized is not as much as giving a sermon, but it is talking religion....

Well let me state it more clearly. I would never try to leverage the fact that I am a Christian to make a sale. And when people do that it puts my guard up.

A lot of fraternals are religious based. KSKJ is not the first one for me. I've sold fraternals in the past where they not only had to be Christian but had to be Catholic AND had to be of Slovakian heritage. In fact the largest Fraternal in the USA requires them to be Catholic.

I just state as a part of my fact finding that one of the companies I can quote them is a Christian based Fraternal. That one will require any applicant to be of Christian faith. Would you like me to include that one or just focus on the others?

I don't find it any less comfortable than testing the waters about their thoughts about AARP before I quote United Healthcare. I've had way more people offended at that AARP logo through the years than asking if they are Christian.

Makes sense. And I don't like when people have to get all religious to get a sale either. Or when IMOs preach all this religion while intentionally screwing agents over. Thanks for giving more detail.

Normally, I agree with you 1,000%.

In this instance, however, because one would be speaking at a church where they are invited, showing familiarity with the principles of Christianity and various Bible verses is about building rapport within a common framework. It's not "Trust me, I'm a Christian" but (if it applies) "Let's talk about planning and what the Good Word says about it - whether you do your planning with me or not."

(Ever notice that if/when anyone says 'trust me', you automatically don't?)

This is what you said, "Most other places make you buy 50-60 per week to hit those numbers." I simply asked you name one. That shouldn't be that hard if "most" require it to name just one.

As for Newby, he didn't say anything about using or not using religion to make a sale. He was talking about the subject of the topic and speaking to the church group. So yes, you did take it out of context.

I kept passing this thread at the top of the forum the past couple of days and got to thinking, based off this thread title, what the crap could make this thing four pages long?

then i pressed the "last page" tab and thumped myself in the forehead...forgot which forum i was in lol.

I would think Newby would be the right type of person to give a talk like this. He has the ability to give them a thorough education on all the options such as pre-need and help them sort through it. Wouldn't have to bring religion much in to it, if at all. The pastor's implied endorsement should suffice.:)
