Anyone Ever Speak to a Congregation?

I think DHK was trying to throw some humor into his advise. I don't think he expected anyone to bring their Bible & preach a sermon on life insurance. Haha!

But, if you're in front of a church, it's only make sense to tie it in to the service in some way. Know your audience!

I've been asked to speak to several church groups. I would never in a million years talk religion to them because I dont spring that kind of stuff on anyone. I would be repulsed if another business person did that to me in a church setting or any setting.

As with speaking to any group if you keep the presentation short, sweet and informative and get to the real good part quickly (the questions from the audiance) you will always do great.

If you keep it to general principles, and even what you've heard from other congregations & leaders... you'll probably do okay.

If you're not a believer, then you'd better not. It won't come across as genuine.

You can talk religion when you are a true believer and walk the walk. DHK is, as least I believe he is. Too many others use religion as a cloak to hide their larceny.

I wouldn't be caught dead at the pulpit trying to talk religion. But I certainly would thank the pastor for the opportunity, thank him for the introduction and invite everyone to join me later for refreshments and a chance to learn more about protecting their families.

Yeah, it was brought to my attention that these 2 NEW "EFES Regional" guys are giving bad advice and should probably learn the business before they come onto the form spouting away.

That's the problem with making Recruiters out of agents that have only been licensed for a couple of years....

An agent was telling me that it's starting to smell like an NAA hug and tug on our forum of recent! lol

Absolutely I have. Not from the pulpit or anything like that. But I have been asked many times by pastors or deacons or church elders to speak to their group about final expense life insurance and med sups.

I take them up on it when asked. I treat it just like talking to any group. I bring door prizes just like if I was talking at a HUD apartment.

I do not write apps there. I set appointments with those interested. There's probably been days where no business came from it. Pretty rare for that to happen.

I do decline requests to speak about MA plans and PDP's. Mostly because I don't sell those anymore. I refer them to a guy that does those.

Easy to say that about someone you don't know. Cyberspydy is hands down the smartest person I've ever met in this business. And him and Broker4ever put up the personal production to back it up. Cyberspydy does 24-28k per month on 25 leads per week. Most other places make you buy 50-60 per week to hit those numbers.

Name one place that makes someone buy 50-60 leads per week if you write $24-28K a month.
