I am biased as I see Mark constantly providing ideas and tools to help agent not just his agents get in front of people. Getting in front of people is your number 1 goal.

Mark, send me some Praying Manti, have garden, need pest killers!
He got me started on them one year. I had a terrarium set up. I had a couple eggs hatch and had hundreds of them. I named them all Maximus. They fight to the death till there is only one. There can be only one!
Let me share with you their per-employment process. First of all you have to drive to Orange County (if you live in Los Angeles area) office three times for a three different interviews with different managers. Then, they say that you have to make four sales before you hired. They also promise you 10-15 new A- leads weekly. And they say that if you'll not going to make those four sales they will still take care of you, and pay you some commissions ( that's if you're licensed at that time). They say in order to make four sales you have to make 8-10 appointments, and it's all should take no more then two weeks, and then you'll be hired! Sounds fair, not so hard to do, if you're good at sales.
But! You have to come early in the morning (like 8am) and make phone calls till 1pm, then come back at 5pm and make again calls till 9pm, plus every Saturday mornings (9am to 12pm). All those calls you make to very old, 2 yrs. old ,leads ( they call it B leads). Most of them have either phone disconnected, or lost their homes, or sold their homes already. All agents in training calling the same old leads at the same time, so sometimes you got people on the phone begging you to stop calling them, that you're the fourth person who called them today! And then even if you'll get so lucky and will make a few appointments, the managers will take them away from you, saying that they will go on appointments and sell for you, but in reality you never know if the sell was made or not since you no longer have these leads, or a phone number of that person ( they take it away from you!). And believe me, you won't even have time to write down that number, the managers always stay behind you and listen to your every word, and as soon as you make an appointment it is taken away from you, period! Then you hear from them that the appointment was no show, or couldn't be confirmed. No Sale!
So, you have to try harder, and call more, and set up more appointments, and waste more of your valuable time, so that the managers could get some extra sales from that old leads that over wise would have been thrown away.
If you have a lot of money and time to spend calling dead leads, then go ahead and try! But be prepared to call those leads for a several months before, if ever, you'll be hired. No one knows if all those benefits they describe are for real, since there is no one on this forum or any other, who was actually hired!
They will never pay you a dime for your time spent, or for the policies sold while you were making THEIR pre-employment REQUIRED appointments! Not for your time working as a telemarketer/ appointment setter, not for the appointments you've set up, not for a sales that were made on you appointments.
And then you got burned out and leave, leaving all your appointments and sales to the managers ( who are regular agents looking for a free newbies to set up more appointments for them). And new people will come in and make those calls on the same leads... They don't care if you'll set up appointments or not, because they don't pay you, and the time spent is yours!
And new people will be coming right behind you, because everybody wants that type of job: salary, commissions, benefits, gas allowance, A- leads, etc... Right?
