Concentration Camps for Us Old Folks in the Name of Protecting Us

Look up the history of the seat belts, in cars. Theres an ironic parallel of similarity to the mask for covid. Lots of pushback from people claiming seatbelt requirements were a violation of their personal freedoms.

Personally, I dont understand why there's so much pushback. I dont neccessarily like wearing one, but I can still go ride a bicycle without one, or go for a walk. I just have to wear it around others... nobody says we have to wear one all the time, regardless of the setting...

I had a client die last week, she got pneumonia and covid. Two weeks ago I talked to her, she was fine.

Covid may be the only thing that saves Social Security and Medicare...................
waiting for the comments.

Personally, with the info out there I don't think they do anything However I still wear one when out and about just because It's not that big a deal

However, the push back comes from more laws like in MI when they couldn't go to a second home or home depot could go anywhere except to get weed lotto and alcohol

And even worse the politician that pushes this measure are always getting caught breaking the rule they put for the little guy

Because people don't trust the power grab and know the statement used Never let a good crisis go to waste

for many its, not the mask itself that is the issue though there are many that is all they know they just know they feel something is not write or caught up with the hoopla or whatever, and yes for them its just about masks, and it's stupid Though I really don't think that is the majority

Did you read the article? It’s not about masks.

If you read the article, it seems to be focusing on "humanitarian settings." I would assume this means groups of homeless, displaced, refugees, etc.

This document presents considerations from the perspective of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) for implementing the shielding approach in humanitarian settings as outlined in guidance documents focused on camps, displaced populations and low-resource settings.

Still, they'd love to lock us in our homes for six weeks. Here in Maine our Dem governor can't shut things down fast enough, and the legislature has been cowering in their respective basements since May.

I must admit, I didnt read the article! Dang it, I responded too quickly, while I was on hold trying make that death claim for that client, was just chiming in with my thoughts.

I also question the effectiveness of the mask. I liken it to covering my mouth when I sneeze. Or rather, expecting someone else to, if we were both in close proximity, like on an elevator for example. But nonetheless, if me wearing a mask makes people feel safe, and gets a little closer to life before, covid, im on board.

There's no surprise that policitcians are being vocal about someting they themeselves doent follow. Many of them like to LOOK like they are doing a job. Say one thing, do another, but use it when it's time for reelection..."hey look what I did for you guys"

The idea of a camp for sick people seems outlandish. I wonder if the politicians would stay in the same camp, or a special camp for special people, with special rules and luxuries... ?

Can Soylent Green
be far removed?

@rousemark, you would taste musty and be tough and stringy... ;)

Curfews are in acted for crowed control... if you think other wise you are sore mistaken and are not living in reality.

Just checked, over 1.5 million deaths due to HIV/AIDS this year. Hmm... have they outlawed drug usage or sex for a few months to bring those numbers down and flatten the curve?

I choose truth over facts! :twitchy:

Along those lines, the local news should also report the daily deaths of everything else. But instead we only see the covid deaths, and by that way of presentation, we slowly forget that there are any other causes of death!

What rock have you lived under for the past several months.

In New York they are called "nursing homes" and the gov. ordered sick people be sent to those locations.

Crazy how it happens right in front of us and we are not seeing it.
