Down Syndrome

I was hoping to get some fresh advice on the same question posted on this thread. I have a 41 year old woman with down's syndrome and am looking for the best carrier to put her with. She has no problems with her ADL's, her mother has POA so is able to do the phone interview for her. Settlers is not in the state I am in. Anybody have some fresh ideas on who will write this?

I have put them with Trans several years back. Was Monumental at the time.

Settlers will likely be in your state in 2016 unless you are in New York.

So you're saying that Downs isn't a form of mental incapacity? Ok gotcha...that makes since...

Insert sarcasm emoticon here^^^

Standard Life and Accident.(Insured doesn't have to do PHI, but has to be able to do ADL's)

Monumental accepted it and did a phone interview with the mother. The daughter lived in her own home (next door to the mother) for a period of time. Had to move back in with mom just before we did the application. This was all disclosed to Monumental and they approved it. This was back when all ages had the same app.

Right, so it makes sense to mention that today...that added a ton of value...smh

FYI...For anyone who may need this info for as long as it is valid. I was able to write this woman today with Great Western. I talked with the underwriter and since she has had no changes or treatment for Downs Syndrome in 2 years, she was able to get first day level coverage.
