You boys are being fed a line of bunk on dual/lis mapd over the phone . Sure easy to sell but hard as hell to keep . Your 90% dealing with dual/lis if your working any type leads . Me and every face to face agent eats this for lunch . .The road is littered with telesales agents in the low income space that thought this is easy " passive " income . Low income mapd must be done face to face to have persistency.Recruiters are Recruiters . I'll leave it at that
I was given similar advice by Christian Brindle, he's a solid dude. That's who I'm under for Medicare (I'm just starting). Do you think for my existing FE clients, that are dual/lis, I should work with them or just leave them be?(in your experience / opinion )

100% work with your existing clients . You already got one piece of business with them and some trust . And I'd highly recommend asking for referrals from them . Mail birthday and Xmas cards to medicare clients and enclose 2 business cards in each . Send a small branded gift yearly like a Medicare card holder or jar opener . Also just because your telesales doesn't mean you can't brand locally . Example is branded coffee bugs at local diners and coffee shops . Most small diners love 50 free coffee mugs . As people are drinking coffee every morning they'll see your pic on the mug and " Need help with Medicare . I'm a local agent". Do some Medicare 101 seminars . If your doing vol CO's will give you marketing money . Once your in the business a few yrs referrals pour in . Personally if I were doing telesales I'd call all my clients every 4 months to say hello for 2-3 mins . Getting that connection even more important doing telesales .

GOLD! My first 300-400 clients were from Face to Face - all within a few hundred miles :). I plan to do local branding… that coffee mug idea is AWESOME! I live in a small town and there are a few diners within walking distance. Everyone around me is Medicare age.
Thank you Don!

For branding I use pill boxes. My name and number on something they use everyday.

Branding items with your name and # . Fly swatter #1 , back scratcher #2 . Also jar opener and big chip clip and the pill box jd mentioned. A favorite I had 100's of was a little squeeze ball football . Hell our people love anything free . But the idea of the item is every time they use they see your name . And when a friend asks about a product you sold them your name fresh in their mind .I've gone threw 15 k business cards the last yr . 2 in each letter I send about 5 times a yr to each client amd giving out 2-4 per sale . Also I highly recommend sending ( telesales ) or giving face to face your branded Medicare card holder ti every client with business card in . People put all their cards in it .

Haven't thought about pill boxes in years.

Years ago, my brother and I did lights and sound for the Statler Brothers. They put their name on anything that could be printed on. Tee shirts, caps, umbrellas, etc. One of their biggest items was pill boxes. Blue Heads like their pill boxes.

Another group we did was Creed. They sold ladies thongs at their shows. I still have a few boxes in my warehouse. I think I'll send a few pair to Todd.
