Experience with Senior Life ?

How could Greg ever believe more company could ever handle all the different situations we run into in final expense ? Forget it's SL an overpriced carrier that drops much of its business to GI . Pick any carrier and it's impossible to place all your business with one . Health insurance by a carrier is a scam . You have a bad month or 2 or want to take some time off and you lose your coverage . I recall SNL had some group health but you had to do $10 k a month . The only downside to being independent is health ins . A family can be near $2 k for crap coverage

You're right that private health insurance for someone not low income or medicaid has shit the bed. Policies available at a small company or for self employed are ridiculous high...and with huge deductibles and co-pays.

Not to get political but b4 obama care - a typical insurance policy for a S was about $500-$600 in NY...now it's $925 with a $6,400 co-pay for anything other than a drs visit or blood test...so you're out of pocket huge before the insurance even kicks in.

How crazy is this...for a test I needed the "negotiated rate" to my insurer was $625...but because I hadn't spent $6,400 - I'd be paying that full $625. I asked the radiologist center "what's my self pay for this test"...she goes $450. I said sold. LOL...

I'm a conservative but this country really needs just 1 health plan for every citizen. Can't wait to start Medicare with a Plan G. Save $500/month. That's a Grand Cherokee payment right there!!!

If there was an IMO that required you to be LOA or W2 but you had Health Insurance what would you think?

Me? I'd think that if I was any good at what I was doing. SWAT level...Tier One Operator level... Then I'd be making a hell of a lot more and have enough money and freedom to pay for health insurance- it's a cost of doing business like marketing...and don't forget about the residuals...

I preach this to anyone that will listen. For the amount of time that you are going to spend working - all that matters is what program am I going to plug into that is going to net me the most after everything expensed...

If "the" W-2 or LOA deal delivered more net for the same hours worked after accounting for the health insurance lower cost difference and anything else...then that's the program to do?

I think it's just something nobody has been able to figure out how to offer. When I heard the qualifications to get health insurance with Senior life it was absolutely A joke.

I think the health insurance laws require W-2 (and I bet the insurance companies do too) for getting onto the company policy...

We really need a strong association that can get us a great plan like a Fortune 100 plan and at a negotiated rate that everyone can tap into.

I sold NASE plans (National Association of Self Employed) awhile ago...it was strictly a b2b health insurance and disability play..

$10K per month? SL requires $150K per quarter ($50K per month)... How many agents do you think are doing $600K per year with them?

That's basically a stupid unattainable program - so all it does it allows a recruiter to say "we offer health insurance" without lying...LOL so stupid and I bet they give you that detail AFTER you join up and sign the contracts...

And it reverts to a ridiculous $1,900 prem if you miss the $150k/quarter cut...which you will...
