You're right. I just looked at 82 year olds earlier.
Somewhere between 82 and 85 AmMem becomes cheaper.

They had a few little niches. No huge loss though.
I put people with recent heart stints with them several times if they wouldn't accept anything less than 1st day coverage.
They had some use on young ages because their underwriting was the same at all ages. A few nice things would work out there plus lifetime renewals on those cases was sweet.
Overall, not really usable for an everyday company.

Everybody that was contracted for that product got one, or at least they should have.

I had a customer today tell me her American Memorial policy had an increasing death benefit. Looked at the policy, and saw nothing that indicated it was true. She swears the other agent showed it to her in writing that the death benefit will increase over time.
