there is a company called leadpod that will call your leads for you and if the lead is interested they will transfer it right over to you so you can sell them. they charge you $10 for the transfer

I know there are other threads where people are talking about the fact that they use Leadpod, but not exactly how they're using it.

Do you bring your own leads or cold lists into Leadpod and it calls them for you? ...only to transfer you to the ones that push a button that they're interested?

Thanks.

yeah you supply the company (leadpod) with your list and they have telemarketers that call the list and if the people are interested they tell them they can transfer them to an agent and then your phone rings and you have them on the phone.

Now, I don't use leadpod, but this isn't what they told me. As I understand it, they call warm leads, i.e., internet quote requests type of leads (though they will do older 'warm' leads). They told me that they do not cold call from a list.

Could be different models for different geographies.... could be I misunderstood, in which case I will go sign up with them.

So let me get this straight, just so I understand. You're buying internet shared leads that are going to 3 or 4 (or more) other agents. Then, you're getting Leadpod to call these leads back for you and then if they're a real lead and really interested, then you pay another $10 have that person transferred to your phone?

I would think this would only be profitable with a LOT of leads going to leadpod in the first place. Otherwise I can't see the point.

Unless something has changed or LeadPod has a segment I don't know about they only call leads - not lists.

you DO NOT want shared leads. in the industry we call them "crap". you also need to find a telemarketer with experience, who knows how to qualify, and who can keep them "hot".

Hiring and managing telemarketers is a challenge... as you would expect with any relatively low paying job that most people consider unpleasant. It is not easy so if you find somebody good then treat them well but always measure the numbers and monitor for burnout.

FULL OR PART-TIME
I like to walk before I run so maybe start slow, but also what your wallet will allow and you have the time to hire and train.

WORK FROM HOME
I always liked to have them work from my office then if I felt I could trust them give them the perk of working from home while coming into the office as well.

LEADS PER HOUR
For individual health between 2-5 leads per hour generated.

... just some ideas. I think very few actually enjoy cold-calling, but it's kind of like choosing the lesser of two evils. You don't have to coldcall and can spend alot more money on leads or you can hire someone for less to generate leads or you can call yourself. I've hired people to make my calls and while they were calling would make some calls myself as a licensed agent can generate more leads per hour than a telemarketer with no insurance background... mix things up a bit.

Hope this helps a little. OH...and you will go through a few bad telemarketers before you find that diamond in the rough, but it will be worth it when you find them.
