Hiring Telemarketers?

I have personally sold health insurance over the phone calling small businesses and generated those numbers and those numbers are in-line with many posts on the forum. Hope everyone has a productive day!

At 2 hour? Maybe. At 5/hour? I call BS. If anyone has hit that number with any degree of consistency and can back it up I'd love to hear about it, but 3/hour is the most I've ever seen with any degree of consistency and quality, but even at that it was averaging closer to 2/hour. On most campaigns getting 1/hour is good.

It depends what you consider a lead.

Josh you are certainly entitled to your opinion and I respect it. In my opinion, a lead is someone who by definition is interested in your products or services whether it be for a follow-up call, more information, setting an appointment, etc. Then of course there are hot, warm and cold leads which opens up an entirely different thread.

Yes... I have indeed generated 2-5 leads per hour consistently when I sold insurance calling targeted lists and have indeed written apps in a one-call close (like many on this forum).

CHP feel free to pm me if you like, slim (if he's receptive) as he seems to have a good system and of course contact Rob Liano as well. Alot of great resources out there. Hope everyone has a productive day!

How long ago was this? Within the last five years?

LIke I said, 2/hour? Sure. 5/hour with any consistency? No way, not cold calling.

Yes... 2-5 leads per hour consistently cold calling targeted lists within the last 5 years.

Josh...I respect you and your opinion as you have alot of knowledge to share and not sure why we keep going back and forth. I'm a licensed agent like you and like you am learning from the forum and sharing my own knowledge hoping that maybe it will help someone a little.

I'm sure we both have more important things to do so on that note... hope this thread has helped chp and you have a productive day.

You're sticking with the 2-5, but what was the average? You could easily say 2-100 when it was only 2 and still be telling a truth.

The reason we're going back and forth is simple: This forum gets a great deal of attention from agents and even if for the sake of discussion we take what you're saying at face value and assume that you were getting a minimum of 2 and up to 5 leads per hour some agent is going to consider that the norm, when it isn't. It's not the norm for FE and it's not the norm for Med supps. On business health it's in the ballpark. In fact, on small business health the 2/hour sounds reasonable, but a lead every 12-15 minutes just isn't realistic.

Josh... don't know how many ways I can say that I averaged 2-5 leads per hour cold-calling businesses selling health insurance.

I'm offering my experience selling insurance just like you offer yours. I have more experience than some agents and not as much as others, but someone with less experience can certainly offer their opinion and innovative thinking.

While I appreciate you even remotely considering my opinion as the "norm" (as I do not), I don't think any person is going to confuse me for being the benchmark on health insurance sales over the phone. I think forum members are smart enough to know that people will have different results based on their experience, methods and lead gen efforts.

Thank you for looking out for the other agents on the forum and reminding me that my opinion is only an opinion.

Well if you don't mind my asking, where in the 2-5 range did it average?
