How long is a release supposed to take ?

Again, you wanted released and you got it. I publically apologized that it took a longer than expected, although every IMO on here (including myself) has taken longer than expected one time or another for releases.

As far as your new IMO, I wish you nothing but the best. In the end, it is not really the IMO, it will come down to you. If you can do the jobs you are mentioning above and invest that money into some leads, you should do fine.

You asked me what I thought about working 3 year old leads. I pointed around the room and said you can give 3 year old leads to almost anyone in this room and they could go make $5k using them. I did not say it in a negative way. I said it in the way that the age of the lead should not matter as long as you are willing to go put the work in. You had a game plan and I was talking POSITIVE about your game plan.

Shannon, you only ask questions to fill your agenda. I am not even sure why you are here. Didn't you fail out and go into the roofing business now? Either way, I know you will be successful roofing or in the insurance without worrying about what I am doing.

I am going to let you all have it the rest of the day. I have removed myself from here for the most part and rarely come on here. I just see no up side to coming here and getting involved in the drama. I will check back in at a later time. Good luck selling all!

What are you talking about? What is "promotional guidlines"?

In a previous thread, Ryan Caras said,"If an agency/imo cannot show you promotional guidelines, you should look elsewhere." Ryan also explained that promotional guidelines help you predict your commission levels instead of your upline. So apparently efes has promotional guidelines that an agent can hopefully one day obtain the imo levels.

According to Ben Boman, he is the only one that has these imo levels with efes.

The reality is very few IMO's have a direct contract with every carrier. Why? Because they do not do enough business to have direct contracts with every carrier. So they make relationships to be 5 points or so under the larger IMO. To name a few companies, Foresters, Moo, Trans, AIG.

So to bring this post full circle, I have been asking for "transparency" on the forums, for Ryan Caras or Ben Boman to post these "Promotional Guidelines".

No Promotional Guidelines are forthcoming.

Ben, what is my agenda?

I have every right to be here on an open forum. I have been selling and training agents how to sell Final Expense since 1996. My knowledge in the final expense industry, company contracts/renewals, and procedures is extensive. EFES, which started in late 2004, and whom I partnered with in early 2007, relied heavily upon my training, recruiting, conference calls and mentorship to help grow their brand.

Who has told you that I "failed out"? Your new partner? My Insurance agency is stronger now than it has been in the past. We offer lead financing on commission deduct. If an agent does not want their lead invoice partially deducted from new advances then we will front their leads to them on a weekly basis and charge their card 8 days later. Or an agent can pay their lead invoice upfront if they choose. For someone like Rob Lion, 19 yrs old just starting in the biz, this would be a huge help. To be clear you are not releasing Rob to work with me. Just using him as an example.

I know Eric, Ryan, and Chase way better than you will probably ever get to know them. I could tell you things that would make your head spin. But I won't. I will just let you figure it out on your own.

As far as the Roofing and Remodeling business is concerned, I am a businessman and an opportunist. Kinda like Uber. They are just an app that connects people who need a ride with people willing to give someone a ride. Now that Davey Roofing and Remodeling is up and running and profitable, my 20-year-old son is taking over the biz.

If there's one thing I find interesting about this forum it's this...there's never a shortage of personal attacks. Although it is entertaining...it's also very revealing about some people's true character. In my opinion, the OP was probably a bit hasty to post without making a few more attempts to communicate. I've gotten releases from IMO's on this forum and it's never been an issue. The post came across more as venting frustration with their own situation than anything the IMO did wrong.

I also respect the marketers/managers who avoid the personal "Jerry Springer" style responses. IMO's/Marketers will always be targeted, even if the accusations are false. That comes with the territory and they know it. I think sometimes the higher road is to not engage in it...and take the personal stuff offline. That's the mark a true professional. When an upper-level manager responds in a positive light (even when falsely accused) then I ALWAYS respect those people so much more. But when they do just the opposite...well...you get my point.

That's my $.02

Maybe he's a turd idk, but it was 100% revealed that they didn't want anything to do with him without him knowing. And he attempted for weeks to get released. I don't blame him a bit for putting it out there so he can promptly get released and move on to a better fit. Especially if you're supposedly "independent".

It's been 8 days, 2 emails, 2 texts, 2 phone calls. I post on a forum it gets sent in 30 seconds of me posting lol.

It's no secret that all the IMO's here have lost agents to one another. That's the beauty of being self-employed!!!

Every agent or potential agent should make a list of all the qualities they feel are essential for their business, interview the prospective agency and go with your gut once you find your "tribe".

Also, make sure you ask about an open release and first day vesting lol.

I see nothing wrong with your post. I don't see this as dirty laundry. The FE section was built on dirty laundry. This is the type of thing that should be out in the open. You have been respectful and honest it appears. They responded quickly once it hit the forum.
