If Money or Family Was No Issue...

Here is an interesting page from the Census Bureau..

Segregation Scores: ACS 2005-9

Click on the link that says Black-White Segregation Indices for States.

A score of 0 means complete integration and a score of 100 means complete segregation: The states are ranked with the most segregated states at the top. NY is the most segregated State in the nation.. What is really surprising is "liberal" thinking California (#20) is more segregated than "racist" Georgia. (#41).

I live by Tiger Stats. Most think it's updated every ten years, but it is updated every 2-3...
You can find out what a block or tract demographic is.... http://www.census.gov/geo/maps-data/data/tiger.html

If you look at the cities LA is far more segregated at #11 than Atlanta at #44..

You guys can't just go around throwing up stats and thinking it's real! You need to watch more movies, that's where the real facts are!

Besides that, 72.53% of all stats are made up!

TMI dude Too Much Information...
no kidding...i was hoping that would have blown out the whole race thing with that post, this thread is supposed to be about where we would live for the best FE success, all the race posts deserve their own thread imo. :err:

I posted a link of Age 65 and over population demographics, doesn't anyone want to talk about where the seniors are located, and the trends into the future, as Direct Mail returns are on the decline, we may need to find out more about the demographic, where they live, where they shop, more about their lifestyle etc to effectivly market to them.

Here it is again:
CensusScope -- Demographic Maps: An Aging Population

For example, according to this map, my own area ATL GA has a very low density of seniors aged 65+, and I know from my marketer and upline, the DM returns are half the national average...So I guess there should be better results where the senior population is more concentrated, like the central plains?

So, to answer the OP, How about Kansas and Nebraska...the map says there are some serious hot pockets of seniors in there...anyone here from that area, or have any experience in these areas?

Also some serious pockets all over central/south florida. I'd like to live back on the Gulf Coast near Panama City / Pensacola, but this map dosn't show that as a high concentration of seniors as say the Tampa area...but what are the 'trends'...idk

That map was helpful to me.

I do not buy into the whole x state is bad for FE sale thing. However, there are probably some areas that may be better than others.I am good enough to sale anywhere. That and I have a car, a phone and the US mail service.

Per the map I see one area in California I happen to have a lot of orphan accounts in is teaming with seniors. That, the climate and the wine trail makes it a prime area for me.

Thanks

Instead of "blowing out" the race thing, it seemed more like you were contributing to it.. You could have posted the senior demographics without even mentioning race if you were trying to turn the thread back around.

They had offered her management of another store downtown ATL on Spring St....she rolled her eyes, "ohhh lawdy...I was insulted! SPRING STEET?!?! With all those --p-pp-people out there robbing and stabbing each other! No thanks" ( she stumbled for a second on 'people'...I knew what she wanted to say...)
So, whadda ya know, a black culterist! lol

ATL has alot of 'high society' blacks, and I gotta tell you, if they weren't black, you'd think they were racists...they H A T E the gettho crowd..

Well she has been watching a little too much news and probably missed out on a lot of money cause the fast food places down there are always jammed packed no matter the time of day. Police station is a block away so heavy police presence with them just coming and going. More hustlers, panhandlers/con artist out there... She just sounds ignorant about the area.

ATL is Black Hollywood, so just like in LA, NYC, Phoenix, Vegas you have the people that look down on the poor people. It's more of a class thing, rich looking down on poor. Atlanta is the best place to be for black business owners, why? Because the opportunities just don't exist for black people in other areas of the country like in ATL. I dare to say more black business owners than anywhere else in the world...

As an Insurance agent(FE) it doesn't get any better if you're willing to go into the "gettho" and talk to the Grandmother/Fathers that are in need of insurance. Does risk exist? sure.. but the overwhelming majority of the people in those areas are good church going people that are home owners and lived in areas for 30 -50 years--the crime has grown up around them. Ie.. Gentrification pushing the worst in projects into normally good neighborhoods so condos can be built.
There are the 10% of any group that the rest frown upon, but I think with black persons that 10 is made out to be more like 70.
I agree with TDF, unless you've been in the shoes it's hard to comprehend. Not one situation, but just knowing the do's and don'ts on a daily basis.

I suppose there's a fine line between "contributing" vs "giving such a big rambling post that it makes everyone sick to death of talking about it"...

here's to wishing a mod would take my post and all the other race posts out of here and into someplace else...it's all 100% off topic and mine was 1000% off topic. I suppose that didn't work out too well...

;)

On Google Maps, I'm looking at a police station 5 blocks away from that Arbys, not 1 block...it's even on the other side of Peachtree St.

You have to imagine, 60+ year old woman, manager of the store, last one to leave at night...I checked google to see their closing times, but instead came up with the following:

Google User Reviews, Arbys on Spring St ATL
"Really unsafe location"
"They had the worst service ... It was a mess .. food was cold ..and very ghetto"

That said, I can't argue with your stance on CWI (commenting while ignorant).
;)
