"I'm OK as long as I take my meds

This is GREAT! I am almost there with all 3. I still door knock my leads. I grew early on to hate the phone. In my areas i work, if i let them know when i am coming. They know when not to be home. LOL!!!!

Yeah I dont door knock not because i have reached some super pinnacle of success without it. I just dont do it because of peoples attitudes and all the apartments and complexes in my area dont make it conducive to door knocking. I have done it and tried it and realize it doesnt bear much fruit at this point.

I actually wish I was in another area where I could door knock more to get in front of folks instead of calling them. The only time I door knock is if I get a lead and the number is wrong. I hve had success with door knocking at that point.

What do New Yorkers do for leads, standard DM cards? I know New York can be more strict than most states, so I'm curious if there is much difference there.

Good question. Most agents I know out here are really just beating the pavement getting in front of folks by referrals and who they know and selling a combination of products not just strictly FE for example. DM isn't popular out here not due to regulations but just because the ROI isn't that high. Internet and TM/cold-calling are a bit more common. But most agents that I know are beating the pavement and mixin that up with a combination of lead sources and just selling.

Old and new schools combined.

Had a buddy from church that wanted a 10 year term to cover his car note. He has primary progressive MS.

Couldn't find anyone that would take the risk. Whole Life was too expensive.

He kept saying, "I don't understand. MS isn't a death sentence."

The UWs were saying he has the worst kind of MS.

While expecting him to understand the insurance business issues, just keep in mind that as our bodies deteriorate we have to find mental platforms or basepoints to allow us to continue to live and function as best we can. Your buddy deserves some commendation for that.

Gotcha. Facebook leads do really well. I've yet to do New York, but I assume it would be much the same. Give me a shout if you want to try them.

Cool. Thanks. I have done FE Facebook leads before in NY and I have seen what works in other states doesnt always work in New York for some reason (images used for Facebook etc.) From the vendors I used you get leads but the quality wasnt always there and being capped at 90% commissions doesnt always make it worthwhile after calculating ROI. That's just my experience however.
