Thank you for the info.....If I could, I would get directly appointed with a couple of carriers, problem being that I don't have enough production to merit getting appointed directly. I do have start up money for mailers/marketing! I have a business plan written out and a vision of how good this business will turn out! Just trying to figure out the most effective way to hook up with carriers and be rewarded for my hard work.
Also, am I thread jacking? Should I start a new thread or what?
You seem like a good fit to work with Todd King.
Since you have the start-up marketing/mailer money, there is no reason to take a commission cut. He is a great guy to help you with those contracts. He does a great job of being around, should you ever have any questions (I've called him at 10pm cst before and he answered [11pm est] and took time to help me out).
Do a search for him and give him a call.
