Insurance Leads.com Collection Process?

Hey you guys take your dispute to private email. You are examples of why many agents do not trust posters on this board.

All I want is stories that others have encountered. I know it is not admissible in court, but it sure would be useful with any collection agency or other collection process, probably even before collection agency time. They aren't going to court for $200. but I do not like the phone calls and their own collection letters.
It might save others from misrepresentation or their in house collection.

Did you get the leads? If so, you owe for them, then you simply move on. Didn't like them? Don't buy anymore.

Yes, it would be nice if all lead companies promised a 50% closing ratio, and then allowed a 50% credit, but that isn't reality.

Why do you think you shouldn't have to pay for the leads delivered?

DJS, I did not receive delivery.....or I tried the free trial and decided that I did not want to do business with them, which is what a free trial is all about. I was assured by the phone rep that indeed the company has changed from several years ago and I could turn off leads on the web page. I could not turn leads on/off and as I work weekends I need to turn off leads. I have been buying leads over 15 yrs. and believe I know that a transaction is 2 sided. Are you with a lead company? Sounds like it.

"I tried the free trial and decided that I did not want to do business with them, which is what a free trial is all about."

There offer clearly states that they will give you 20 free leads as long as you agree to spend $200 within 60 days (if my memory serves me correctly) of trial. I tried their offer and the leads were a little slow but I had no problem cutting them off and on . . .however I did forget a couple of times and had leads running overnight . . .but that was my fault. That's been my experience.
:GEEK:

I did business with them a few years ago and had minimal results.
But I do remember that I had no problem at all turning the leads off and on through their website.

Also, they called me a few months ago offering me the 20 free leads; and they also clearly stated that it was based on me spending x amount of dollars within a certain time period.

I think you need to read the fine print on this one before you waste anymore time.

DJS, ....Are you with a lead company? Sounds like it.

I think this is the first time I've been accused of being with a lead company. Definitely not.

My response is more based on being fair. A lot of people complain about leads from lead companies (myself included) but really don't have a process in place to deal with them properly. They then have unrealistic expectations of performance of the leads.

Perhaps I misread the tone of your original post. I assumed you figured all lead companies were snake oil salesmen and wanted to extract some revenge for being mislead. My experience is when I've personally ran into similar situations, I was as much at fault for not really reading the contract as the other party was for glossing over some details.

In the long run, I don't get to worked up over $200 if it was something that I had tried and decided it didn't work. This seems to be an almost monthly thing with me, guess I'm used to it. I like to try things out.

Just to add, whether the leads are crap or not, you said you couldn't turn thme off? There is a super easy button you go press, it turns em off and that's that for up to like 7 or 14 days at a time I think. I do it every night so I don't get leads through the night from kids on facebook lol.....read the fine print before you ink up. Everything I ever received about the free leads I was able to figure out I also had to then buy $200 bucks....netquote does something similar and same with every other company.

To make it clear, I had bought from this company by their old name several years ago. A new super saleslady pursued me for several months and assured me that, now, I could turn my leads off/on over the weekend. I am not talking about a vacation hold.
I am talking about like every 2-3 hours, depending on the lead flow on the weekend. Nights also. Others have this feature which suits my needs. The supersaleslady finally weakened me with her verbal guarantee, and even gave me her address so I could send her a Xmas present after all my sales.
She was new to the firm and lead sales so I went for her offer. After starting with the free leads on the weekend I learned immediately that there was no option to turn leads off/on each day/hour/ minute. There is a vacation hold which is useless for me. I emailed, called and left a message but they do not work on the weekend.

I do not believe ALL lead salespeople are snake oil salespeople, but they are at the mercy of their company's lead acquisition and sales policy and training. Especially since they only sell to no more 3-4 agents. Yeh!

The bottom line is they misrepresented and it should be on a recording. The bottom line is that other agents have had significant problems with this company. All I asked for was the experience others have had. And I will search the posts on this Forum as I recall several unhappy agents who have posted.

dude...u can turn your leads off for 20 minutes, the weekend, a couple hours, or a vacation. I think you should talk to tech support before you go suing people. It's pretty simple to do as well. Not trying to argue with you, I have turned my leads off for lunch, for the evening, for a couple days etc.
