Land Of Lincoln

The problem is what carrier is still paying?

HARKEN is "officially" still paying commission, and it's actually a better, less expensive set of plans that what Blue Cross and LOLH have. But as you know, it's just for Cook county residents.

But unfortunately, I have yet to be paid for the 2 people I placed with Harken health. I'm working up the nerve to call UHC producer support and ask about them. Hold time was more than 1.5 hours last time I tried.

One of the clients is listed as "Received" in the UHC portal, but not as "Premium Paid"...even though she's paid up through March. The other client was done off-exchange. I had to fax in a UHC form 3 weeks ago to claim him as my client. So far, he's still not showing in the UHC portal.

As we know, United Healthcare is doing all it can to save face (and $$$), after shooting itself in the foot with Obamacare. Think I'll visit the Harken thread and ask if anyone has been paid. There aren't a lot of agents visiting this Illinois forum..at least not a lot who are also Members of the forum.

Were you guys paid commission from Land of Lincoln? I was not. Last time I called them it was supposed to be paid March 1st for January.

Nope..Not yet. It may be because February was a short month. Since Land of Lincoln Health is now under Federal Government "Enhanced Oversight", the non-payment could be related. As you know, HHS is not in our corner when it comes to commissions.

I have one client (one of 15) for ex. that received a letter in Oct of 2015 from Land of Lincoln Health stating that his premium would increase to $953.97 from $807.51. This was for a passive renewal if he did nothing to his current plan. He recently received a bill for $1088.09 for January invoice. He would like to know why their is an increase to his monthly premium of $134.12.

There system was unavailable until recently. They sent out letters to clients in the southern part of the state with the rating for the northern part of the state. (which of course where much higher for the southern part of IL). Many of our clients selected to stay w/LLH due to the letter they received in Oct. Now we have a few days left to make a change for March 1 st eff date if they do not want the increase.

Still no resolution because the have to get an exception with the CMS and the state for the accepted rates they filled for. Ugh!

LLH was a good option using the PHCS network in the southern part of the state. (where we only have Coventry or Health Alliance as viable options) Now the only option is Health Alliance for the price.

Bad enough when you call the customer service and they say the wait time is 60 mins.

Frustrated!!

does he uses the Marketplace for enrollment?

no he did not use the marketplace with coverage. went direct with the carrier

"Something" is going on at LOLH this week. Not a good something either. They have yet to pay agents for January premiums received, and are still showing University of Chicago hospital and medical providers as part of their PPO network(s). U.C. Medical was supposed to be removed on the 2-29-2015 PPO tool update. That lookup tool says it was last updated on Februrary 19th.

I haven't been paid yet either. Calling them about it is a hour wait time.

I called the Broker Support line @ 1-844-674-3840 and got through to a commission department associate in less than 30 seconds.

She said: At this time, there is an audit being conducted on the 2016 commission calculation accuracy. They expect to make the January commission payment "around mid March". The February commissions will be paid on schedule, at the end of March.

Let's hope LOLH doesn't throw in the towel before at least Jan & Feb commissions are paid.

It was reassuring to see Land of Lincoln Health finally release January commissions yesterday. The company seems to be trying really hard to stick around.

I have many missed accounts. I should call them. Also, when they withdrawal from the Marketplace in December, some people were cut and left without insurance. Do you have cases like this?

How do you know about it? Can you see a commission statement in Broker Portal? I went thru the whole portal and can't see it anywhere...
