Land Of Lincoln

WooHoo - my accnt got abt $2500 from LLH over the weekend

I placed about 130 cases with them - so the above $ seems short

haven't seen the statement yet

Still nothing from Harken (59 cases) or Coventry (35)

Also, my last check from BCBS was terrible - due to so many charge backs from people late cancelling after paying for Jan. & getting reimbursed

Back to LLH - if they go down we'll probably get screwed out of the last month or 2 or 3

Have begun exploring new careers - but one thing I know, health ins ain't going anywhere any time soon. We'll see

I haven't got a penny... I called them today but they could figured why I was not paid at all. They gave me 2 days to fix it. They couldn't figure also if I was on direct bank deposit. They said that if I provided the info on the contract paperwork it should be OK. But still... why they can't check it on their end... We'll see.

The Land of Lincoln Health system is very delicate. If you changed any of your personal information with them, it can disrupt the entire file that they have on you. But, the company is easier to deal with than the big boys. You should be able to get everything straightened out fairly quickly, Pancur.

1. Remember.. they only paid commissions on Jan premiums. Feb commission is scheduled for around March 28th.

2. Because Harken has absolutely no agent-tracking or commission payment capability, this makes we worry. I only placed a few Harken cases. They don't even show up in the UHC agent office as "In Force" yet, even though the clients have paid their premiums and received all membership materials. (They're better than LOLH in this regard)

3. I've been contacting my BCBSIL FMO (EBRM) weekly. I keep coming across clients that simply vanished, for one reason or another. At any rate, it's easy for EBRM to reconnect me with the severed clients, once I read off the missing client's name/dob/ssn.

Land of Lincoln Health said in a recent e-mail that the University of Chicago Medical system is still, and will remain, an in-network provider. (I guess the plaintiffs won their lawsuit?)

When you look at the LOLH medical provider search engine, it shows the University of Chicago as In-Network.

However, when you look at the list of accepted health insurance plans at Insurance Plans - The University of Chicago Medicine , it shows only two Marketplace/Exchange carriers: Harken Health & Coventry.

I'm learning that it's always best for the insured client to call the DOCTOR or HOSPITAL to ensure that their plan is accepted. These provider look-up tools at health insurer websites are becoming less and less accurate as the weeks go by this year.

I moved LLH cases that needed the U of C for 3/1 to Harken. I doubt any would go back if they could

However, I'm still getting calls from people just realizing they're in the wrong network in LLH, am having them contact the company directly. LLH is still a mess in terms of cust serv.

That said, I sure hope they last out the year, have 130 with them

Have you guys got Feb commission? I haven't even got Jan's. What happened is that they used a wrong NPN to check if I'm registered with CMS. Since they couldn't see that number in CMS database they were excused not to pay the commission. But what saddens me is that they didn't contact me first. I have around 60 active polices with them so they could figured that no agent would submit that many cases without being registered with CMS.
Anyways they are supposed to pay for Jan with Feb.
Additionally for some "internal error" reason they can't change my "role" from "Broker-Agent" to "Broker-Owner" in broker portal so I could see the commission schedule...

Did any of you get paid by LOLH this week? The online statement at their website was posted/dated Monday 3-28-2016. No direct deposit has been received by my bank yet. Usually the D.D. happens the day after the statement is posted.

As far as I know you'd have to get your info fixed at CMS for each case and hope the change would get sent to LLH

Good luck, that's a tough one

I believe it is not necessary. What happened is that LL was missing one digit in my NPN. When I gave them correct NPN they were able to check my CMS registration and said I will get Jan comm in the next commission payday.
What bothers me also is that I can't see comm statements in broker portal because of the "internal error" that causes they can't change my agent role. It is hard to believe that...
