It boggles my mind how many times I will hear from agents "well they already had insurance".

This was music to my ears when I was in the field! I didn't have to sell them on the idea of life insurance, I just had to make sure they had enough coverage which 95% of them did not.

Or they had something different than what they thought they had, or the policy had lapsed or they were paying for an over priced carrier like old American or Lincoln Heritage...

This should NEVER be an objection!

This should be great news when an agent hears about a possible exsisting policy!

Agent: Hey, momma wanna see me at 11am or 3pm? whatever, whatever.......
Prospect: No, baby, I already gots the inshorance.....bla bla

Agent: Awesome, shoogims, so that I can take you off my list, what company do you have that with?

Prospect: I dunno, hunny, let's see.........Heritage or something like that.....

Lol I use to think that too until I met a very sweet single mother who was laid off from GM. Unemployment wasn't much so she supplemented govt benefits to help get back on her feet. It Took her a year to get completely back on her feet.

It's the people that live off of the govt permanently that I have a problem with.

However, I have found that some regions will struggle more with this than others. As I mentioned previously, some areas/regions are just not cut out for this. I truly believe that picking the right area/demographic is about half the battle in being successful in any marketing campaign of any type.

So true in my opinion. I was always amazed when some FMO's and recruiters on here would say all areas can work for FE. I am in a tough area. Another lead vendor said he could get get me 40 leads a month based on the numbers. Turns out he struggled to get 10 at the most.

That's what makes it tough, if the area that is being marketed to does not contain prospects with propensity to purchase then the leads won't be great. This is true with all leads/marketing campaigns.

Good questions. I have never worked those type of leads. They sound like a very high quality lead though from what people say.

This is exactly why government assistance exists. To help people who have fallen on hard time survive. The goal, the hope is that they would use the assistance to get back on their own feet.

For too many people they either can't or won't, with a few not even trying.

Something I think too many people forget about is the high cost of childcare. Even bad childcare is expensive. It doesn't take much to get the point where a parent is basically working just to pay for childcare, so he or she can work.
