Lets Get to Some Facts About Telesales

You couldve had that SAME DEAL without 8hrs 10-11hrs of ya time, couldve avoided Rick (biggest plus), saved $100-150 in gas ANNNDDD still had a $210/mo payday!! You need to let me be ya LA go to man, man!! ;)

Spend $1,400 to save $100 and a long day of driving? My Momma only raised one fool, and that was my brother.:twitchy:

But seriously, if it is like a $1,200 deal I would really consider it. I have a boy living in SD, so I will be traveling that way more often.

So someone please help me understand something. Because Greg and myself actually sell AND recruit....how does that not count for proof?

I know JD sits in my office so him saying I don't sell is gospel but on my training site it has my sales calls. So please help me understand?

Just because I build my company, my personal sales don't count?

I just came from another call center down south and it was amazing. My VP and I stood in the middle of their call center for about 45 minutes and sales were closing left and right! It was inspiring to say the least. Why do you not here from any of those agents on here?

They have no clue this playground exists! They are all newly licensed. Everyone always asks for proof but a lot of stuff posted on here is simply words on paper. Eyes show the proof so go visit one of these places.

See for yourself. This endless battle about telesales working or not is so long winded. It never ends. It's the same ole responses from the same posters or posers over and over again.

I probably do more sales over the phone and internet than f2f. But as an agent I would eat my gun if I had to spend a day doing call center. I get where the agency owner's value is. What is in it for the salesman?

See the REAL issue here is the fact that most of you CAN'T do tele-sales. It's not that it can be done because it IS being done whether any of you like it or not. AND...big numbers are being written. The smart ass comments only hide the fact that it's more based on insecurity and the ability to not realize your strengths and weakness's.

See...we've mastered the art of field sales and now we are mastering it over the phone. It's OK. True salesmen don't understand the word "can't". See...veteran or true field agents have a hard time with phone sales for one reason.

They don't have the determination or patience to sit and make calls. It's like most agents have A.D.D They can't sit and do the same thing over and over over all day. That's what makes driving around all day so much easier. You feel like you're accomplishing something today.

Again TD...you fail to answer my question or my point. That's fine. When you walk in my shoes one day...then maybe we can talk professionally about something you have experience in and not simply follow the crowd on here. Your statements on telesales have zero basis because you have zero knowledge of it. You just like to repeat what JD says....A LOT!

Wino...though we call it a "call center"....some operations are straight up call centers. I too couldn't work like that. The one we visited last week was awesome! Comfortable...Big flat screens hanging....music playing....colorful....windows all around...it was so energetic! My office has offices for the agents. I too try to make it comfortable...hip...fun....etc....

I try to make our environment kind of like a comfortable, Silicon Valley type operation. Dress how you want but tasteful. Respect each other and have fun, but don't cross the line and all bad moods have a day off...fast.

It may being done and there is certainly much money being made at FE telesales, for the uplines.

Anyone saying any differently is just flat out lying. And you notice the only one that spread those lies are the ones that have a vested interest in signing up the unsuspecting.

I haven't ran into a policy that was sold over the phone where I couldn't help a client. I expect if the poor person bought the policy several years ago I might not be able to or advise them to drop it.

Personally, I hope Telesales takes off, especially in my area. Talk about a baited field!!

Guys I do not have a dog in the FE telesales debate. In answer to why we don't have agents on here is they are probably recruited from another call center environment and view it as a job. I have been talking with a couple people that work for a call center for my bank and I get the feeling if I opened a small office with cubicles computers data and a dialer and offered a reduced commission these people would think nothing of 8-12 hour days on the phone and they would sell...When I see some diapers offering unlimited calling and dialing for $99 a month I could see it working.

The problem is so many of us want our freedom and this would be too much like a job doing the same thing everyday.

Back in 2008 I was faced with a dilemma I needed to rewrite about 50% of 7 years worth of business due to regulatory changes in the 403b market. Granted these were clients I had met with for years but the only way to do it was by phone I scheduled up to 30 15 minute appointments by phone a day I banged through the changes my recommendation and then emailed the app for signature and fax back to me toll free for a 3 month period I was the #1 agent for 2 TSA companies and rewrite those customers. Add to that the eapps that exist and I can see this working. It may not be write for everyone but I believe it can work...

For those that say they rarely run into these policies...Life insurance ownership is at a what 50 year low and you do a mailing and get a 1-2% response what do you think happens with the other 98% of people they may respond or buy from a different method.
