Lets Get to Some Facts About Telesales

I have to say your wrong...and I know other senior agents on here know of this person too...

I would say that you are wrong. Name this person that that sells FE by phone and does not recruit. Of course you are now moving the target. First you said there are "others" and now you say it's one person.

I'd also be interested to know who this mystery person is.
FE sales by phone interests me but the overwhelming (if not anecdotal) evidence indicates it's rarely, if ever, done successfully by independent, individual agents.

I have Standard in my FE bag and I know I can sell that over the phone but it's not that competitive....so I would just be selling it to make a sale (over the phone) and not necessarily doing it in the client's best interest.

If anyone out there is successfully selling Standard Advantage Guard over the phone, please stand up!

Unfortunately it's not my right to out this person, but I know there are seniors agents on this forum that know this person. Again this person is more than able to speak up if they wanted to...

JD you are wrong, its a viable premise. I don't have to convince you, nor do I want to, just to say I know it can be done...

Then prove it. It's been proven to not be a viable method for the agent. Sure the marketers are making money.

I've seen the numbers. I've looked into the model. I've taked to dozens of agents that gave it a go.

But, of course all of the information and facts available are trumped by this phantom poster, {well not poster because they have not posted about their miracle here at the forums}, that only you and some "senior posters" , {whatever the hell that is?}, know about.

I've talked to plenty of agents who failed selling FE face 2 face working DM leads. But that doesn't mean that system doesn't work....plenty of successful agents using this method, including JD.

Just because someone else couldn't be successful with something doesn't mean you can't be successful with it....that's how winners think.

The losers say "others have failed at it so I'll fail at it also".

Now....are you a "successful" agent or a "loser" agent?

I say give both methods a shot. If you are a new agent, you have nothing to loose and you should give both a shot and see what you like. If one doesn't work, then you always have the other method to try right at your doorstep.

I can see where if you are handicap in any way, then this will obviously force you into telephone sales. Maybe not telesales in a cubical call environment, but you can try both.

I still haven't met anybody successful in the cubicle FE telesales arena unless they are with a large well funded operation. That usually is a 9-5 hourly job with some perks. Unless they are ready to move onto something else, you are not going to see those post here. They are not independent agents.

I personally like to run into policies that are sold over the phone, but that might not be the norm.

Don't throw a temper tantrum, maybe if you were a nicer person you would have a chance to know this person....

I would give JD a break, he is in some serious pain with a ruputered disk. I can relate and it is hell for nearly 3 months on avg and doesn't fully heal for about a year or so depending on the severity.

Oh now you want to make it personal?

No temper flare up here. Nor would find even one person that knows me that would say I'm not a nice person.

I would love to know about a succesful FE telmarketer. Apparently there is one but it's top secret.:twitchy: That's out there even for you.
