DaWayne..you up here again? LOL. I know, it's Sun.
Yes, it is Sunday. Dwayne, go to church and pray to Jesus that Judge Judy was wrong when she said "Beauty is transitory, but stupid is forever."
This was to be a simple, non-political, non-religious thread on motivation... and you f--ked it up.
No one mentioned YOU, no one attacked YOU, no one said a word about YOU.
But YOU decided, because guys like YOU feel entitled to do so, to come into the thread and make it about YOU... and your continued pissing contest with me (which you have always... lost... and will always... lose.)
You remember when I implied in the opening post above that I get "down" when I have to deal with others in this business who come into it as a "job of last resort" because the entry to it is low and cheap and there are no educational hoops to jump through or qualifications beyond passing a simple test? We'll you're "the guy" I'm talking about.
We know you. You are bold, you're brash, you have no ethics, and little empathy for others. It's the money, honey. We've seen you on the used car lots, we've seen you in the real estate biz, we've seen you in the Medicare sector, we've seen you in the home-improvement jungle, and most recently we've seen you in the mortgage broker world. You don't know what you are doing or even why you are doing it... except that it's all about the money.
To try to put a positive spin on this thread and perhaps rescue it from Golgotha, let me pose the question? How do others motivate themselves to "deal" with the lack of esteem and respect the general public holds for us... because of the multitude of inept, untrained, uncultured, un(der)educated, and often uncouth "associates" of ours?
Me? I first vent my anger that my state has such low entry to this business that "just anyone" can get in and I secretly hope for some kind of national licensing with required coursework, a four-year college degree, and an exam as difficult (or better yet, more difficult) as the Series 7.
I then think "Bless these agents, because their clients are 'low hanging fruit'" which are easy for me to pick. When I meet someone who has a UA mini-med or someone with a PrimeA term life plan, it's almost always a sure sale.
I rarely lose one given the opportunity to explain to the client that what they bought is junk and why their agent sold them it in the first place. And I don't stop trying until the third "no." I see it as a "public service" to prevent people from having "crap" plans... or at least give them some options.
If they want to be stupid and keep their plan... well, there is always Judge Judy to console me.
