New Website...need Opinions Please!

This sentence, to me could be much better.

I deal only with A rated carriers and work with them to get a premium for you that is affordable without sacrificing coverage for your business.

A few things to consider:

1. "deal with" ... perhaps there's a better way to convey how you "work with," or "have relationships with" the insurers you write business for.

2. "without scarificing coverage" ... maybe there's a better way to convey this without the word 'sacrifice' in there.

3. "only A rated" ... do you not work with A+ carriers?

Just a couple thoughts. Good luck.

Great feedback! Thanks guys  I obviously still have some work to do on it but I wanted to get it up and running. I'm sure I'll continue working on it over time as well. I'll make some updates and then repost for additional feedback. Thanks again!

if you sign up for google.com/a free version you can link your domain

then get to make up to 20 emails of [email protected]

and you can login thru gmail.com and have all the gmail functions.

Or you can forward all emails to your main email but i like using google apps more. Also google has a google talk code that you can put on your website that people can chat with you while youre on gmail. Kinda like a live chat help script.

Thanks, Bruce! How's this? "I have an amazing reputation with our A+ carriers which allows me to offer you extremely competitive rates for the coverage you need." :GEEK:

I think that's headed in a good direction...all positive words

When I think of Insurance lady....a picture comes to mind...any chance the insurance lady is photogenic?

Uh oh!! lol What picture comes to mind?? :goofy:

This insurance lady is decent enough for a photo but I'm very young looking (or so I'm told) and I was worried it would scare off clients if they thought I was younger than I am (as in, I'm too young to possibly know what I'm doing). Do you think this could be an issue?

I dont think age screws you up as much if you're female. A guy that looks 20, on the other hand, is likely to be viewed to not know what they're doing.

I think you can only sell insurance for a brief period between the age of 55 and 65.

However, you can overcome that with actually knowing what you're doing when you talk to them.

There are some onpage issues in your code you might want to deal with also.

Right now, you're optimized for:

New Jersey's Business Insurance Lady - WELCOME!

The whole site is in tables, you have no alt tags, header tags that I saw, however I didn't try super hard to find them because the code itself is sort of a train wreck, I assume it was generated by a website "building" program of some sort.

To quickly fix it, you should add the lines of insurance you're targeting and the geographical area to your title tag at the minimum.

I would suggest reading this: Most Common SEO Mistake | How Html Tags Work

Just as a minimum, it'll give you an idea of what the tags on the page are supposed to be for.

The picture was an innocent thought;) I notice when we use testimonials with pictures of younger, attractive females we get triple the response as using all others. Just an observation

Thanks for the info! Unfortunately, when it comes to this stuff I have absolutely NO idea what any of it means. I will take a look at the article, I'm sure that will answer some of my questions. In the meantime, do you mean adding all the lines of insurance to the title itself?? And, yes, I used a website building program. Will the fact that I used this program screw things up for me in the future??

Out of curiosity, how do I see the tags on my page? And, I read your thread. Very helpful info although I'm still not sure how to use it within my website since I basically just wrote in boxes...

I agree with many of the comments made. Overall, it does the job but comes looking a bit amateur. You want your home page to really pop and to have a clear and present call to action. Another real easy value add is to have relevant retirement feeds coming it to a section on your site.

Check out a site that we just built for an agent last week and put yourself in a client's shoes to see which one they might stay on longer.

Anthony Ledet Insurance Agency Inc

Best of luck!
