I assume you talkin' ta me?you're quoting yourself in your own posts?

Why do you not put your much, much better material out here?"LGilmore is just trying to antagonize you"
Oh please.... If I were trying to antagonize him or you, I would be putting much much better material out there.
Maybe if you had put your much better material out there you would have a much better impact? I've been begging you to do this! Just because you don't have any impact doesn't mean you should be selfish and stingy with your best material. I've made no impact on you either but that hasn't stopped me from sharing my ideas with you. All the folks reading this thread are just getting one side, you are not being fair by not sharing your best material so folks can get both sides. Then we are a team, "we report, they decide". But you have left me in a room with no one else, talking to myself, as in your analogy. I can understand that if you are not going to post, I would TRULY be in that "room" alone, but that's not fair if you ARE going to post. You should post your best stuff. Now, you have admitted you have it and are with-holding it. Why?We had exactly the same impact on Pat. Absolutely none.
I guarantee I will listen and hear your much better material if you will just put it out there. I hear everything you say, obviously, because I respond to it.Ya simply can't hear when you can't stop talking.. in this case, about himself...
And the death, burial, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ is one of the most factually substantiated events in history.......and for the record Oswald did kill Kennedy, we did land on the moon and Elvis Presley is no longer with us.
You are apparently an intelligent person. But factuallly substantiated? By what, that bible? And the death, burial, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ is one of the most factually substantiated events in history.
The idea of god was to help uneducated people long ago try to understand nature. Now that we know better, why are we still believing in fairy tales?
Rick
Hey Rick, wazzup? You are apparently an intelligent person. But factuallly substantiated? By what, that bible?
I guess so is Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and Natural Blondes. All of them have been in movies and since movies can be seen by many people, they must be based in fact.
The idea of god was to help uneducated people long ago try to understand nature. Now that we know better, why are we still believing in fairy tales?

For me, it's like one of those murder trials, where, based on the evidence, the jury has about a 50/50 feeling about whether the guy did it or not....I'm looking for the video of that event to be turned in so that there is tangible proof....or should I just have faith that the jury will come to the correct decision? Prove it, then I will beleive and then I will follow...I mean if God is as great as you say he is, and if he did create me 6,000 years ago or whatever it is, then surely he would understand my rational way of thinking.Hey Rick, wazzup?
Aside from the Bible, if I were to gather all of the evidence together would it really make any difference to you?
And about the Bible, what do you believe about the 4 gospels. That it's fiction? I think there are about 4 extant copies of some ancient literature such as Iliad and Odyssey, but folks don't doubt at all that it is authentic, even thought those 4 copies differ with one another quite substantially.
We have over 5000 copies of the Greek New Testament that differ only in minor punctuation and such. So there is no doubt there that we have the information.
Are you assuming then that the New Testament is fiction rather than eyewitness account?
You can do the research but I don't think you are really interested enough. I was, and I did enough of the research to satisfy my reason which then undergirded my faith. Some folks can take it all by faith right out of the box - not me. Took me YEARS to wade through all the Christian "Santa Claus - Easter Bunny" type stuff to get to the preserved Truth. It ain't easy to do with all the stuff going around in the guise of Christianity.
Christianity has changed my life substantially and for the better. How has atheism changed your life for the better? What hope do you have? Just wondering, I'm not trying to be a troll.
Fairy Tales? Tell me yours. Where did we come from? How are we different from the animals, or are we? How did the universe come into being? If things are supposed to evolve, how come everything devolves (2nd law of thermodynamics, etc.). Chance? What are the chances life could develop by "accident" without a designer? What are the chances a Rolls Royce could appear by accident out of a junkyard? I don't know, man, but I just don't have enough faith to be an atheist. You gotta really have a special kind of faith to look at the "Creation" and not believe there is a Creator, that it just "somehow" started itself, and evolved by chance after lucky chance, or maybe faith in UFO's and little green men, or superintelligent aliens somewhere. You'd still have to have "faith" for any of that since there is no evidence. There's not even any evidence for simple evolution, it is still a "theory", therefore if you believe it, then that is your faith and "religion". There really is no such thing as an atheist.
Rick, you don't exist!
But you are typing, and you can see yourself in the mirror and feel yourself (don't go there), so there must be another explanation. What is it? Wanna dialogue with me? Tell me what you "believe". Or do you believe nothing?
Later dude
P.S. I like you and Al both, I know you disagree. It is great fun to see y'all go back and forth. There are those who would call you both trolls. Counting me, that would be three! If that's the case, then if you ask me, trolls are where it's at, man! Be cool, be a troll. I dunno...
No sir, I'm waiting on you. And what can I do to become worth the effort?"Why do you not put your much, much better material out here?"
Mainly, because your really not worth the effort.
"I hear everything you say"
No, not really. Not at all. But I am sure you'll take this opportunity to write more and more and more and more.....
He does understand our rational way of thinking; we cannot understand His without His help. Read the first few chapters of Romans. The evidence is all around us, we are without excuse. For me, it's like one of those murder trials, where, based on the evidence, the jury has about a 50/50 feeling about whether the guy did it or not....I'm looking for the video of that event to be turned in so that there is tangible proof....or should I just have faith that the jury will come to the correct decision?
