Poor People Matter

Black babies account for over one third of all abortions in this country. The total number of African American lives lost to abortion since 1973 is a staggering 15.5 million.

So? Whose fault is that? If a couple chooses to avoid contraceptive options they end up with an unwanted pregnancy. If they want to terminate the pregnancy that's their choice. If that cycle decimates their population, it's their own fault.

That goes for everybody.

I believe the inference he's going for is that African Americans are a sub-species, less evolved and more animalistic than Caucasians.

You probably remember when there were sentencing disparities between crimes involving crack cocaine vs those involving powdered cocaine, resulting in black men spending more time in prison than white men with similar offenses. There were those that said, "Well, if those black men didn't commit the crime they wouldn't have a problem!" You're using the same kind of logic by assigning all the blame to the people involved in a "choice" decision without considering the underlying reasons for the disparity between ethnicities (none of which involves them being racially inferior, BTW).

I believe the inference he's going for is that African Americans are a sub-species, less evolved and more animalistic than Caucasians.
That's a ridiculous assertion. I hope you're just being inflammatory in your rhetoric, and don't actually believe that. But in case you're just misunderstanding, here are some points in response:

1) I believe all humans were created by God and in His image. The only difference between "white" humans and "black" humans is the amount of melanin we have in our skin. I don't believe in Darwinian evolutionary theory, which was originally developed in order to justify the white supremacy of the day. Therefore I don't even believe in the possibility of any "subspecies" of humans.

2) I believe we're all "animalistic" in the sense that "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).

3) What I'm actually addressing is the racist eugenicist underpinnings of the pro-abortion movement and how organizations like Planned Parenthood prey on vulnerable low income populations. Did you miss what I said about Margaret Sanger?

4) I'm opposed to all abortion because it is taking innocent lives of real actual human beings, not simply "terminating the pregnancy".

Have you considered that by turning a blind eye, or glossing over the disproportionate number of African American deaths due to abortion may be racist on your part? Me calling attention to the disparity is the opposite of racism. It means I'm the one who actually believes Black Lives Matter. All of them!

I thought dead voters were a democrat thing?
They were according to the current leader in chief, who also described covid as just a cold that would disappear within two weeks. I'm sure he's giving it much thought while vacationing in the middle of a pandemic. When the going gets tough, the tough tee it up.

Of course "minorities are people too"!!! Why do you think I'm so concerned about it?

Many African American leaders, who are otherwise politically liberal, are among those raising the alarm. Clenard Childress Jr., the gentleman in the video above, is just one such voice. Did you watch the video? He states that the African American birth rate is causing negative population growth. He has stated elsewhere that if that trend continues, the black vote will become virtually insignificant within 20 years.

Consider this: the black population would be 36% higher without abortion, not even counting the additional offspring those aborted would have had. The number of black voters would be about 25% higher by now. The demographic percentages would be very different, favoring the black population.

If there had been no abortion, Stacey Abrams would have easily won as Governor of Georgia, and Trump would have never become President.

Only 36% of abortions are black. That means there were more non black abortions than black so your math doesn't hold up.

Blacks make up about 13.5% of the population. If they make up 36% of abortions, then that means they get disproportionately more abortions. My math works out they are getting nearly 3 times as many abortions.

If poor and minorities want to matter and be acknowledged by the powers that be, then they would vote, but in general, as a group, unfortunately they don't.

Unfortunately it's poor decision making like that which is why many of them are poor.

Latest info from CDC abortion survey: (Bottom 2 lines: Abortion rate is number of abortions per 1000 women of that race. Abortion ratio is the number of abortions for every 1,000 live births.)
