Poor People Matter

Latest info from CDC abortion survey: (Bottom 2 lines: Abortion rate is number of abortions per 1000 women of that race. Abortion ratio is the number of abortions for every 1,000 live births.)

These stats are anecdotal at best, because they omit the underlying factors unrelated to race that cause abortions. Perhaps the question should be, why are blacks economically disadvantaged to the point that abortion seems the only solution.

It's great to address the reasons for the problem. I'm glad we're in agreement that it's a problem. Maybe we can work on a solution.

Just curious. What does all this nonsense from both sides have to do with life insurance. Asking for a life insurance agent. Thanks.

Not to be too snarky on a Monday morning, exactly what question did you ask?

Secondly, the nonsense of which you speak has created a ton of claims in this industry since it began.

Just asking... :err:

Gentlemen, The OP bailed on his post. His premise was that if people without means banded together they would have a stringer voice. How this train went down a political/religious track is beyond me. The unfortunate reality is that far too many people without means do not want to see a solution to their situation if it means giving up something that they hold dear as an entitlement. A reduction in a benefit with the ability to increase family income through other means is a non-starter

Yes, it is called a Republic. The cost of which is a willingness to lay down your life for the freedom you possess so you can transfer it to the generations that follow. A very selfless act. A belief that all them are created equal. Also you will note that our Republic was never stronger that than when it believed in the higher authority of God to which all men answered.

Self centered-Godlessness now the creed of our day, results in the blood that runs thick through the streets in our communities.

In keeping with direction of the thread he abandoned.

That all men were created equal was very subjective. Did not apply to blacks and originally did not apply to non property owners as neither were allowed to vote in their representative republic.

From the Library of Congress website "Creating the Declaration of Independence":

The concept that all men are created equal was a key to European Enlightenment philosophy. But the interpretation of "all men" has hovered over the Declaration of Independence since its creation. Although most people have interpreted "all men" to mean humanity, others have argued that Jefferson and the other authors of the Declaration meant to exclude women and children. Within the context of the times it is clear that "all men" was a euphemism for "humanity," and thus those people, such as Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Abraham Lincoln, and Martin Luther King, who used the Declaration of Independence to demand equality for African Americans and women seized the historical as well as the moral high ground.

Sorry to disagree, but you are incorrect... "All men are created equal", how you choose to treat your fellow man is a decision you make.

God set the tone for this, so regardless how men may view their fellow man, how he created them is as firm as his word.
