Dave, I do not go on all this incredible research you do involving keywords or whatever else you do.

I go by results as do my members - results only. It either does or does not perform well.

If a source does not perform well they are history. If they do perform well then we keep 'em.

Outside of that absolutely nothing else matters - only results.

Unless your personally tracking every lead that is distributed to all of your members and really monitoring all results,(Bogus Leads) Disqualified, Bad #, having a few agents telling you they are doing well is not a viable tool to measure results. If you were buying the leads and providing them to your members, I think you would have a different spin on what is a successful Lead Vendor. It would go deeper than a few skilled agents having success.

A month goes by and I'm no longer recommending who? We have many sources we continue to recommend for months.

I don't know the answer to that question. But these are your words, just three post ago.

Other forum members think I have financial motives to recommend lead sources. If that's the case why have I ditched 3 within the last month

Dave,

I just got approved to offer E&O at a pretty nice discount and the master policy is being created - should be available in two weeks.

Not a bad benefit am I'm just letting you know in advance so when I announce it you've already lined up a reason why it sucks:D:D:D

You are going way overboard, I never said what you do or what you are doing for others, or that your association Sucks, That would be a stupid statement. I was just commenting on the Lead Vendors, so dont really understand that comment:SLEEP:

No problem Dave - it's all love. You know I greatly respect you not only for your service but for your son's also.

It's simple - I'm trying to hook up as many discounts as I can for members - the more the better. If I can arrange discounts through 15 lead providers I will.

Why not simply pay less for leads - makes sense.

I don't just ditch a vendor on a whim or because a few agents report issues. That would be stupid since there's far more moving parts.

However, both you and I know there are vendors out there that simply do not perform as well as others.

There's no harm in figuring out over the course of months which companies simply perform, on average, better than others.

I guess I came across the wrong way, Sorry Brother, I honestly believe what you are doing is helping others, and Honestly if your receive something for your works, I have no beef with that either, I was just making you and others aware, what really is going on behind ASAP quotes leads, I have the uptmost respect for Carla and how she treats others with her company.

with prospects going to multiple sites, is it really exclusive?

This has been my contention all along. Thank you for your lone support.

There are other forms of exclusive leads based on other marketing techniques,

While DTC marketing may temporarily produce an exclusive lead, when the consumer is internet savvy my guess is they will check your proposal against those on the web, before buying.

Or even after buying . . .

Any lead going to 8 to 10 agents to me isn't worth more than maybe $2 at most, maybe less because of the lower ROI, low contact rate, and complete PITA getting screamed at all day about how you are the 8th caller 2 minutes after getting the lead.

Certainly a lot of truth to that, but there is also the credit policy of the lead vendor.

When I compare vendors I look at a lot of factors including:

Number of times sold (this is at best a wag since you never know if you are being fed the truth or an exaggeration).

Filters (including existing coverage, age, BMI and pre-ex conditions).

Amount of info on the lead. The more information given is usually, but not always, a positive sign. My experience has indicated the shorter the form the more likely you are to get someone who is mostly a tire kicker. If it takes a prospect 20 seconds vs. 3 minutes to complete a form, more often than not, the lengthy form is a more qualified prospect.

Price. Goes without saying. I have paid as little as a buck for a lead and as much as $18. Leads in the middle, $6 - $9 seem to provide the best ROI.

Credit policy. Some vendors will fight you while others do not. Some only credit for a few situations while others will give credit for almost anything. If I have to fight for a credit it is not worth my time to use that vendor.
