Senior Life + Technology . . .

Noah, notice how Greg won't give you the rates (says he doesn't have time which is BS), but he will put an example of a very hard to place client, which most aren't. Just how many people has anyone on here run across that was insulin dependent from the age of 10?

You see, most of the people that we run across won't qualify for their Super Preferred rates (which are good in comparison to other companies). Then, there are those we get 1st day coverage for that would be graded with SL.

I do think the premium he stated is way off base as well. Their rate for Super Preferred is $40.60 per month (without acc. death) and their regular Preferred plan is $64.96, Standard is $84.66. So, I'm not sure where he's getting that rate of $47.02.

OK Todd, let's say she started taking insulin at age 60 with all other factors the same. Her rate is still the same.
That's because I like to keep that pot stirred.

Hmmmm....I was thinking you smoked it, didn't know you stirred it.

Todd, you're quoting ultimate preferred not the super-preferred. Yes you are correct most people don't qualify for ultimate preferred, but I believe it's the cheapest SIWL rate in the nation.

I'm talking about super-preferred in my example. $10k with NO acc death is $44.26. With acc death is $47.02.
For the record most people don't qualify for ultimate-preferred.
About 50% of my sales qualify for super-preferred.

Well, here's a pdf for you to look at.

Out of thin air?

Their UW guide is on FexQuotes. I found this to be interesting.

"Super Preferred Whole Life
This product is offered to people ages 40 – 80 who have no health issues and who have not usedtobacco or nicotine products in the past five (5) years with face amounts of $5,000 to $30,000.

Due to the preferred class of risk, the following also apply:
• No third-party applications accepted (except spouses).
• Checking account only through Bank Service Plan.
• $20,001 and over: "wet ink" HIPAA required by the proposed insured; the Home Office will
order medical records.
• Only one medication per condition accepted"

So, somebody that takes 2 HBP pills can't get Super Preferred...but somebody that's had a Transplant qualifies for Super Preferred? :twitchy::nah:

The transplant was over 10 years ago so yes. The other info shows you are looking at outdated material. SL has made some great changes the last year:
-Super-Preferred is now available for ages 0-85!
-Lowered DM leads to $25 and they have life insurance and burial expenses printed on them!
-Raise commissions on super-preferred and preferred!
_Added renewals for the GI product!

What other carriers are doing things to help their agents?

Todd how do you know my schedule? I will add I don't have the expertise to post multiple pages of an agent manual and rates up here.

You say you don't have time, but you sure have had the time to post several posts on here this morning and early afternoon. So yeah, I call BS!

Well, here's a pdf for you to look at.

Todd, your source has an error. $40.69 is ultimate preferred without acc death. Your source is calling the ultimate preferred the super-preferred, a glaring error in your source. Still a good price though wouldn't you agree?

Now that we have that out of the way, surely you realize one carrier's preferred is another carrier's standard, etc., etc. Your source doesn't make any distinction in that area and this is critical to comparing apples to apples accurately.
For ex., Transamerica's COPD might be immediate coverage while another carrier would rate the COPD as a modified or GI.

What say you?

Yes, it does distinguish if you use the UW features with the quote. However, that's not the issue. The issue is price. Yes, Super Preferred has a great price, but you know as well as the rest of us that most FE people won't and don't qualify for that.

I have my doubts that the 68 year old female you quoted would qualify for Super Preferred, much less this "Ultimate Preferred" that you're talking about.

If I'm wrong, please post the UW guide for proof of that. If you can't post it because you don't know how, then just email it to me at [email protected] and I'll get it posted up in here for you. I'll be waiting for you to do that, but I won't be holding my breath for sure!

She would qualify for super-preferred but not ultimate preferred. I don't care if you believe me or not. If I was lying I would just say she qualified for ultimate preferred too, but she doesn't qualify for that.

About half the people I write qualify for super-preferred. You post info about things you don't know about. Now do you really think that is doing the right thing because it's the right thing to do? See your sig. line.

If I'm posting things I know nothing about, then help me out brother! Send me that UW guide! But you won't, will you? You'll make every excuse in the world not to do that, won't you? As usual, when you get the ultimate call-out.....you try to change the subject.
