will any FE companies take starter checks to set up an auto draft, or accept a starter check for a first month payment?

When you open up a new bank account, and they give you the "starter checks" before they can print you up checks with your name and address in the upper left corner. Starter checks do not have your name and address on them, just your bank info

Some companies might not, unless the starter check has the routing # AND the account #. More and more companies don't require a voided check anymore...they have a place on the application to put the info. American Continental is one that doesn't require a voided check to set up a bank draft, even though they show on the app to include a voided check. Why don't you call the company you're writing the policy for and ask them?

I was thinking of putting her in mon life, i see they have a spot on the app for the account info. I always ask for a voided check also (i guess out of habit) do you know if mon life actually require the voided check, or is the account info on the app enough?

I don't know of any that won't. I've used them with almost every company I carry at one time or another. Never even been questioned on it.

I don't know much about Monumental, other than what I've seen on here...sounds like their a pain in the ass to deal with! When in doubt...just call the company and ask them.

I just now saw your "because it's Saturday". You could just go ahead and send it in with a starter check...that way you've got the sale, and if they won't accept it they'll let you know. By the time they let you know the customer will probably have their new checks.

The starter check the bank gives you do have the routing # AND the account #. They give you a pack of about 25 checks when you open an account. It is not like in the old days of my youth when all we ever used was counter checks. No imprinted stuff at all at our small community bank. Does anyone else remember that?

Hahahaha...yes, I remember businesses having a pad of counter checks for everyone to use. I used them a few times when I forgot my checkbook(and I didn't even have an account there...just kidding).:D
