Tips From Top Producers To Combat Coronavirus Objections

Interesting how the guys that are telling you to stay home are the guys who make the fewest sales, and have the biggest opinions ... Producers look for reasons to sell while your average agent looks for reasons to stay average!

Dave will all your fear mongering I'm shocked you had time to make any money.

I'm in an agency of 108 producers and we are the highest producing agency for one of the top rated Mutual carriers in the country.

I am currently #3 in the agency for Annuity production and #25 for life commissions. I am sure I will finish in the top 5 for both this year, so I'm doing pretty well. I had to redact the other names and actual figures as I am pretty sure that management would not look kindly on me publicly posting the names of the other agents and our production at the upper levels. But at the upper levels in leader board production, those top producers are at 7 figures in annuity premium and six figures in life commissions.

I find it interesting that the guys telling us to get out in the field and disregard all evidence to the contrary are builders telling producers to get out there.

I'll say it again, you shouldn't be out risking your own life. You have no right risking someone else's.

Losing respect for quite a few in our business as they insist it is reasonable to go visit with folks at high risk for dying of this disease.

Well Stop insisting that people have Coronavirus when you don't know their health status

The problem is no one knows who has it. You do not know if you are a carrier or not - have you been tested?

I'll be fvcked if I can understand how selfish and stupid so many in the life insurance, aka protection business are. True colors coming out, and they are ugly.

we can get tested together. What date you, Todd, and Travis going I'll schedule mine same day

i think they are assuming everyone is infected.

However if everyone on this thread posts their COVID-19 test results....The insult slang fest from the likes of Travis and Todd and whoever else would come to an end

You're completely missing the point, again.

Ffs... The "insults" are because you continue to be completely daft.

1) You're clear when you take the test. Great. It doesn't mean that you can't catch it from someone you see and transmit it to someone else, despite being "completely healthy."

2) With FE, you're seeing a clientele that is more susceptible to serious complications. They are naturally suspicious of people trying to rip them off. Now they see they can catch a virus even from a "healthy person." Intentionally or not, you are creating undue stress in an already stressful situation.

3) You can't just sign up to get tested. Doctor's have to sign off and most of them aren't unless in an extreme situation.

You're being told to grow up because you're acting like a child.

Just to go by the numbers, half the country is not on lockdown, today 3 of the 50 states are on lockdown, making up a fifth of the population.

I understand that you feel things are bad, but feelings aren't facts. Yes, sometime next week we all might be on lockdown, but that isn't the case today.

281 Americans have died from the coronavirus. On average, 12,000-32,000 Americans die each hear from the seasonal flu. I just want to put those two numbers next to each other. 281 vs 12,000-32,000. On an average day 800 Americans die from diabetes, which is largely preventable. How many people will die because they aren't going out and exercising during the quarantine? How many people will die because they are terrified of the relatively tiny death toll, and won't go out and walk and live a healthy lifestyle?

I read sensational headlines like "morgues are running out of room" and "they are running out of places to put bodies" in Italy. Those are the headlines. It's a country of over 60 million people, with one of the oldest populations on earth, 5,000 died. It's terrible, don't get me wrong. In 2017 roughly 10.4 out of every 1,000 people died in Italy, putting the number around 630,000 deaths. Yes, 5,000 mostly older people, many unhealthy and smokers died recently. Yes, it's awful, don't misunderstand me. But out of 630,000? We really aren't looking at big numbers here.

I should not of used the word lockdown, I agree.

Here we are two months into this thing and we still have brainless comments like these and comments like these are what makes this thing go on for 5 months instead of two. How are you seriously still comparing this shit to the flu? Diabetes? Can you read cause I'll spell it out. We don't have a rapid onset of everyone dying from diabetes at the same time!! We don't have to come up with insulin shots for a couple hundred percent jump in diabetes cases at once in one day. Health care workers don't need masks or take major precautions to be around a diabetes patient. You can't all go to a basketball game and come home with diabetes, pass it on to your friends the next day, not show symptoms then be hospitalized one week later. Like, really. You are dumb if you do not understand this.

The entire second paragraph is just bullshit as well, it's not about the amount of deaths in comparison to anything! It's the speed and how fast it can overwhelm a healthcare system.

It is probably safe to say that between January 2, 2020 and March 13, 2020 I knocked more doors than most of y'all will knock the whole year.

Why do you insist on telling people what to do?

Aren't you doing the same? You just want them to do something different from what I am suggesting, right?

we can get tested together. What date you, Todd, and Travis going I'll schedule mine same day

You really are a moron. I've not left my house since Monday, March 16th and I have no intention of doing so anytime soon. It is supposed to snow here tonight, and if it does I will likely venture out to a grocery store to top up some supplies for my kids while the stores will be more empty of people than normal. My kids are home from school. Right now we are all healthy and asymptomatic, thank God.

You are the one who has been going about like there is nothing to be concerned about. You are the one insisting on putting innocent others potentially in harm's way.

If y'all would work as hard as you should be working when times are good you'd not have to be so cranky and criminally insane when times are rough.

This is so lame, though. You know you're not going to get tested. Besides that, let's say you do get tested today and you're clear. So you go on your merry way, sit on somebody's couch who has it and doesn't know it yet. You've just picked it up to carry to the next house. But you got tested, so you're good, right?

First, I am taking a break anyway.

But I am keeping tabs on LOCAL cases. I'm in a county of 2+ million people. This was yesterday's news:
Riverside County reports 2 new cases and 1 new death in Coachella Valley - KESQ

Confirmed cases: 30 (Updated 3-21-20; 04:30 PM)
Travel Associated: 4 (Updated 3-21-20; 04:30 PM)
Locally Acquired: 24 (Updated 3-21-20; 04:30 PM)
Acquisition Status Pending: 2 (Updated 3-21-20; 04:30 PM)
Deaths: 5 (Updated 3-21-20; 04:30 PM)

What are the odds that *I* have it? Zero. But public perception would make me appear irresponsible to be out and about right now - particularly in California, so I'm not going out for now.

Too many virus experts and not enough FE Sales Producers on this forum!

Meanwhile, I'll still make my decisions based on common sense, my family, and since only 1 or 2% of the people, in the US, who actually get the virus die from it, well, that's a pretty easy decision.

Producers look for reasons to sell while your average agent looks for reasons to stay average!

King of sly back handed comments slides in like a snake once again
