Wellcare paying no commissions on pdp’s

I might be the only who thinks this, but I think by the 27' selling season, we will be on the other side of this hard market, and things will be looking good again.
But there will be a lot of agents, and possibly smaller carriers, wiped out in the process.

Same thing happened in 2014 with ACA.

There are way too many agents, usually weak or unscrupulous, who shouldn’t be in the business in the first place. I hope they are washed out. Go back to selling boner pills and final expense. End rant.

I just received a Wellcare First Looks e-mail. The Value Script has a very, very low monthly premium. Ugh.

plans actually look decent in Florida. WC VS is still a $0 premium. no word in the first look on the formulary though

Same $0 VS premium here in San Antonio. Hospital copays are high, but relatively richer Value-added benefit eye candy that they are known for.

Thank God I don't have many on stand alone PDP's. Not sure how an agent is going to be able to sell a $30 or $40 commissionable PDP over the $0 premium Wellcare VS. I will just leave the ones I have on VS alone and take it in the shorts. All will get a look at an MAPD option though with $0 deductible on PDP and $0 premium.
