Who Only Works Appointments and Makes a Great Living?

Gangsta style...like writing an Aetna app on a 50 year old, just to serve up a chargeback to the competing agent...lol

A habitual line stepper...

Are you cold knocking or are you knocking on lead cards (or TM leads, or carrier pigeon leads, or ...you get my drift)?

Yes I'm Cold knocking lead cards.

It's not for everyone, but then again calling and setting appts also isn't for everyone. I will say this though, my lead penetration is MUCH higher on door knock then appt. (it could also be that I prefer door knocking )

From what I've read on this forum, it seems there are plenty of agents who make a great living:
- only doing appointments
- only door knocking leads
- running appointments and door knocking leads
- using appointment setters
- not using appointment setters
- etc.....

As the "grown ass man" (that was hilarious!) said, we can learn from different approaches by filtering what works or doesn't work for us, whether it comes from someone who lives in a mansion at the beach or a van down by the river.

Rather than asking, "Which is better, approach A or approach B?" we might learn more by asking, "For those who succeed using approach A, how do you do it? And for those who succeed using approach B, how do you do it?" Without the diversity, this forum would not be nearly as valuable.

You should out source a percentage to an Insurance Forum mercenary to capture those LH premiums for you.

Could have had Gooner take a 3 hour detour when he was out here.

However.... She is on dialysis he is insulin dependent. On him the rates are not low enough to replace these 6 year old LH policies. I had their insurance prior to that but cut them off after several lapse reinstatements. Also the LH guy is a buddy that I have a business relationship with. So I can not turn one these cut throats loose on them.

I would replace his policy and be able to keep him at the same premium he's at now and get the cash value out of his Lincoln Heritage policy to put in his pocket. Then I would make him buy me a bottle of PATRON for my troubles.

But I'm cutthroat ;)

This is good stuff!!!

You are misrepresenting the conversation. That is not what I said and you are taking my words out of context.

Also you guys are confusing terms. Door Knocking with a lead in hand VS Cold Door knocking like you're selling Girl Scout Cookies.

Forgive me for discrediting someone who wanted to chime in with awful advice after the OP had received good instruction from Duford.

If you live in a run down trailer court, or a "van down by the river," I think that should be allowed as a factor in the value of the advice that person offers.

Not all opinions and advice on here are equal. There is even a greater margin in value after the anonymity of the posters are removed.

This business is challenging if you have life insurance leads in hand...

TT

You did say that people who canvas are broke and friendless.. I have known many folks that built their business by canvassing that are neither. And, they certainly are no less professional agents that the ones that run leads. As far as disturbing people uninvited, what about telemarketing leads?.. I guarantee you that the telemarketers "disturb" more people than the canvases ever will, yet many of the FE agents work those leads..

Ill do it, ar 15 at the ready, pew pew pew :). Head shotted lol

Ha, you do not know how close you are on part of this family. Some Bloods, some blue collar, a couple college and one masters degree. I wrote one of the Bloods a few months ago, the Masters' daughter tonight. Should have seen the place I went into to get the guy's signature.

In a way that I interpreted as being self grandiose he said he went out to "make friends" and did it the "Old Fashion" way.

The intent is either to make friends or close deals.

I guarantee none of the top producers on this forum have the goal of "making new friends" when they leave their home to write FE.

That may be a shocking to you, and hard for you to understand, but that is what makes them top producers.

The only reason an FE agent would not use leads is because they couldn't afford them. You guys try and include other life experiences into selling FE. They don't apply. You may think they should but they don't.

There are many naive and "grown ass men" on here that have many opinions, but no facts.

Don't bash the Settlers videos and then stick up for somebody else's goofy advice.
