Captive vs Indy

Had goat milk back in Texas growing up....It was quite good. And about those goats in the pic, kinda reminds me of some of the rats we had in the barn. I think they ate our traps! MEAN CRITTERS!
 
When I was a kid my family raised goats and my mother bar-b-qued them. I don't remember what it was like but it was very popular with the family and friends.
 
My wife gave me some goat cheese the other day and I liked it until I found out what it really was.

Goats are great for tons of things. They eat just about anything and they can clean up properties also.
 
Only at the Insurance Forums could a post about making money selling insurance evolve into a goat recipe thread. :D

BTW, Frank, I am glad to hear that you don't butcher them. Mark R. would put you on the s**t list. In California, one county uses them to keep the grass mowed on their hills. Thet do a better job than the laborers and they are much, much, cheaper to operate (also, they are not illegals).;)
