Cockroach Infestation -- The Joys of FE Sales

Im not saying you're wrong JD, I certainly dont have live exp yet...and Ive written down or took mental notes of a lot of advice on here so far. But I dont think thats the only FE market, cause if thats the case why would equita recommend that for Calif agents who've worked here before AND how is that guy Alan Benedict being doing it here 15yrs & in his training specifically says go after 55-80yr olds & an income of 15-50k...he must know something!!

EFES does not filter for income on ther mailers. I do know of Alan Benedict and I know he says he works about 50 leads per week and doorknocks them all.

If you are willling to pay for filtered leads you can work wahtever demographic you want. I could do my own mailers and put a $50,000 per year income filter on them and only work those. I would be in much better neighborhoods then. I would estimate that leads like that would cost over $200 each. ould you like 20 of those every week? That's a nice $4000 each week for leads.

I'm in the process of doing my taxes now and I have my lead bill for 2011 from EFES. I spent less than $9000 for leads all year. I sure as heck don't want to pay $200,000 for leads. Or, in my case it would be $150000 since I get 15 per week.

If people are telling you that the FE demograchic is $15000 and up, it would be best to find an upline that will tell you the truth.

there are easier and less disgusting and not to mention disturbing ways to earn a living. Yall know that right? Or are u fellas all masochists?

I read that when it came out. he doesn't mention anything about LH in the story. I had not seen his video.

Listen people, do you know WHY the FE market isn't made up of folks who make a decent living?

1) They've already planned ahead- our clients are 55-75 and no insurance- doesn't that tell you something?

2) Most people who are that age and make a decent living don't need a little 5k- 10k policy, why? Because most can whip out a check book and write a check for that. NOT TO MENTION they do the math in their heads really quickly too.

There are tons of people that made pretty good money during their working years but managed to blow it all as they went....By and large, Americans aren't savers. They live for today. Then. when they get 60-70, they realize that they need final expense coverage.

That may be the truth? But those people are not the ones sending in the reply cards.

The FE market, for the most part, are people that are world class procrastinators. They didn't get to be 65 to 75 years old and not have their funerals taken care of because they have been good with their money or good planners. We don't service the Dave Ramseyites.

They do not have an insurance agent. They certainly do not have a financial planner or even know what one is. They are distrusting of "the man", but they do have some sense of responsibility to not leave a terrible burden on their family, {well that's the ones that buy}. There are many out there that don't give a rat's ass about what happens upon thier demise. Those people also send in reply cards and those are the 'agent killers" out there.

They say that 90% of agents fail in their first year and leave the business. I bet that number is higher among the ones that get into FE?
