Democrat debate

Jesus was not by any stretch of the imagination a modern day socialist. He advocated voluntarily helping others in need but he never advocated the government forcibly taking from one person to give to another.

It is funny that the left always wants to attack someone's Christianity by twisting scripture but they chose to ignore biblical teachings on a whole host of other issues.

I would argue that we all do that. There are some pretty cringeworthy lessons in the Bible. However, I'm also a take what works for you, discard what doesn't kind of guy.

No he's not. He's a socialist, not a communist.

What's wrong with being a socialist anyway?

Jesus was a socialist.

You a Christian, bud? If so, then you're an avowed follower of a socialist.

Good 'enuff for Jesus, but not you, eh?

So, I'm a pretty plain spoken person, and this makes me cringe. For me, it's okay to attack a policy, but their religion is hands off.

You're basically taking a crack at two things that formulate a person's core beliefs. That's just asking for a fight.

Don't be that person, especially when you're wrong.

The Dumbs have created the "divide" because they're pissed off that another Crooked Clinton isn't in the White House.

As I said, you have the right to believe what you wish. I didn't particularly care for Clinton. We didn't have a good option in the last election, and we don't have a great one (according to Democrat polls) this election.

I don't like Trump because I wouldn't trust him to run my business, be in a room alone with my wife, or treat my half brother equally to the way he would treat me.

When Trump was elected, I was willing to give him a shot. After 3 years, I'm kind of exhausted of the daily BS on both sides.

RUNNING for president has been berry, berry good for Bernie . .
Here's How Bernie Sanders Earned Nearly $5 Million In The Past 10 Years

According to several reports, Sanders didn’t collect a steady paycheck before being elected to office as mayor of Burlington, Vt., in 1981. After graduating from the University of Chicago in 1964, though, Sanders did work a series of odd jobs before his political career began. Some of the positions he held include: an aide at a psychiatric hospital, a freelance writer, a preschool teacher and a carpenter.

Above quote from Politifact a left leaning publication that "fact checks" for FB . . .
Meme wrong in attack on Bernie Sanders' finances, resume

If not for public office, Bernie might still be doing odd jobs and would not have a multi-million dollar net worth.

Apparently Fidel Castro is his role model.

This is one of my favorite right wing tropes, and one that lacks substantial evidence after multiple thorough analyses. I suppose you think snopes is biased as well?

LOL

He is a communist He praised breadlines and praised Chavez, Castro, and others

He values Communism, He is smart enough to know, (as most communist are) Americans will not swallow it at face value but have to implement in pieces

He is a dangerous fellow

As far as Jesus, He was not into politics, He purposely separated himself from any worldly system Give to Ceaser what is Ceaser's, Let the dead bury the dead

I am a backslidden Christian, But I know it very well

Don't try and push socialism using Jesus

The horseshoe effect is on full display in this thread.

I would kind of agree. Extremist on either end of the political spectrum is no good. Trump isn't even an extremist or fascist, imo.

He's an opportunist. He doubles down on some of his rhetoric because he knows he won't lose his base. It's easier for him to feed his ego when his base is die-hard.

That's the thing though isnt it," I'm kind of exhausted of the daily BS on both sides"

That's the part that got a lot of people, but who is responsible, The left has been playing the exhaust game since the time of Obama, When Trump was elected they just changed focus on to him

When Obama was president they were relentless with accusation's of racism and other things anytime they get resistance to ideas or policy or power grabs

Its a dirty way to gain power over people

So, Obama took the same flack for 8 years on the right. He still takes flack today and he hasn't been in office for 3 years. Hilary takes flack and she's not even President.

It runs rampant on this forum, as an example.

It's not "the left" and it's not "the right" it's the fact that the nation in totality is so divided (on both sides) that we're not having a conversation of ideas anymore. It's yelling and talking AT each other from both sides. The public feeds into that and it validates Politicians stances.

As I said before, when Party's win, the country loses.

Obama took flack but not anywhere near the same level, I am saying that even when Obama was president, Even when he announced he was going to run, It began

There were attacks day and night on anyone who opposed, It spread to the population as well, Even during his first run I was working at a call center speaking to a friend going over some of the things Obama said looking at Quotes and things where he showed otherwise, A girl walking by got upset and reported me for spreading racism

This was going on everywhere

The right took up a notch after a long while of the relentlessness, It was the only way to fight back,

Even still none compare to the relentlessness of the Left

Except maybe Trump, and Maybe that why he won, Becuase he didn't lay down and get crushed by the machine

I am not in agreement with the tactics but it has become necessary for survival, And the Left created it

When Obama first ran it was only the left doing it to anywhere near that level
