Oh, it is very achievable for the average agent... Only takes 18,000,000.00 per year in production to get 150%.... :)

If I were considering contracting, my question would be, if your production drops do you go back down on the schedule level?

Rouse, this is a contract to attract the HUGE agencies, not the part-time producer. No one gives 150% to a part-time producer. In the FE market place, part-time producers are worth very, very little.

Steve may be making it sound easy but in reality it's not easy. You have to issue $1,500,00 in one month. To me it is designed to attract huge agencies from the competition. Heck, no one should expect 150% to be easy to get.

It's obvious to me this is to appeal to the mammoth sized agencies, not the individual broker. That would be a faster way to grow. Think about the cap on commissions at LH, NASB, AIL, and others. I know a guy with NASB who's team was issuing $450,000 to $500,000 per week across about 4 carriers and he was around 120% on most of the carriers. I've tried to recruit this guy for years but he likes it where he is. Now I've introduced this 150% to him. The 150% gives me a better chance to bring this group to my team. Before Jan.1 I didn't have this carrot available. That's one example of the usefulness of the 150%.

I'm certainly not issuing anywhere near that amount....yet.
But at least 150% is being offered. I've not heard anyone up here mentioning other carriers offering 150%. Maybe there are?

I am well aware of that but if you watch the Bontellivision clip it sure seems he is implying that an average ordinary agent can achieve it.

Why are you the only person who ever complains the forum is negative?

The forum is not negative. Individuals are negative to you.

Indeed, which is why someone like you who has never done anything other than spam lame recruiting efforts for one of the worst employers in the market in as many threads as he can elicits a negative response.

It's not the forum. It's you. But of course, you are never going to post here again, so...

Given how SL likes to hand out titles as a substitute for compensation (I mean, sell a single policy and your title is "Agency Owner" - close $60K a year and you're a "Regional Sales Director" LOL), "Executive Leadership Team" probably means he cleans the restrooms.

I don't hand out the titles so don't poke at me. By the way, talking about titles, what in the world is a tikibarrister? Curious, what did you have to do to earn that title? Don't get mad.....just having fun at your expense...lol.

Yea, well I didn't write his speech. The 150% is designed for the mammoth sized agencies not the individual agents. No one writes 1.5 Mil per month only on their pen. Everyone knows that. Don't blame me if you don't like his speech. Fair enough?

Have never blamed you for anything.. And, I like his speech for its comedic value.. His speech si exactly the same as a couple of others on YT about SL so it must be a company policy..

Agency's doing $5 million are getting 150% with many fe CO's. It's all about being a good negotiator. I'm willing to be I could get 150% with several carriers if I had an agency even doing $3 mil

Bontell's video is 100% meant to sound like an agent can achieve 150%.

It's disgusting and incredibly dishonest.

And no he or SL can't just say "we didn't say an agent could get 150" because they all know how it will be perceived. Hell Bontell even says "an insurance agent can now earn 150 percent commission".

Pathetic. And to think he has the nerve to say he will not sugar coat it and shoot you straight.

Holy crap you can't even make this shit up.

Bait&switch.

They really must be looking for fools

Top contracts are maybe 80% street.

Even worse is the dirtbags that write SL in my area write almost all smokers NT and the people buying have no idea what's happening?

Why would any competent agent want to work exclusively with one tiny company that offers:

1.Disingenuous marketing concepts
2. Low contracts
3. Limited underwriting

As of Jan. 1 all agents start at 90% or higher. Issue 5k and get 95%, issue 10k and get 100%. Easy! And you also get lead financing and TV live transfers or TV leads just 3 min. old. As far as limited underwriting I can write anyone ages 0-85 any kind of health condition and take any kind of payment from bank draft to debit/credit/direct express/ green dot, etc. With true soc. sec. billing: any day of the month and any day of any week. Doesn't sound too limited to me.

Sounds like you've been hearing incorrect info
