Here is TD's answer to the original question. He is a black guy that prefers living and working in California to the rural south. I can't really see where the argument is.
Good point! Neither can I..........................

When I quoted you above, that was pretty much a blanket statement. That is why everyone has jumped your case.
And the ghetto can be dangerous and really for anyone. Going by statistics, I think I'd be more afraid to be a black male in the ghetto than a white anything. Just by what you see in the news, anyone trying to improve their situation through legal means seems to be an endangered species in the ghetto.
But also, most southern whites are very afraid of being labeled a racist, that is why most try to avoid blanket statements. Look at Paula Deen. I haven't followed her case enough to really comment now, it looks like more allegations have come out so perhaps she is a racist. But the mere accusation pretty much destroyed her brand.
You never quoted any type of blanket statement Ive made, you quoted a feeling & opinion is all. Several of you has twisted my words to make them "fit" your argument & Ive called each 1 of them out & explained thats NOT what I said.....yet no one admits it. No one is wrong here but me, even though Im the only 1 misquoted.
So when u do find this magical blanket statement I made, let me know....until then its just hearsay & your refusal to acknowledge you & others are incorrect.
You are right. Only a black man knows what racism feels like. You win...
Just because you don't perceive the hurt in your words doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
And speak of the devil, let me give u yet ANOTHER example of being misquoted...this time by SIA, so that HE TOO, can feel good about himself!
Where in MY quote, did I say "u cant tell me what racism feels like" SIA?? Tell me EXACTLY where I said that!!!!
Im waiting.....cant wait for this

Oh ok, so it went from "you made a blanket statement" to....
"well now I cant find your blanket statement, but I know what u MEANT"???
Thats your argument? How come u never said what others "Meant" when they mentioned the ghetto??

Ok, so what are you implying when you say that I can't understand how a black man feels? Ill admit my brain is a bit foggy and I am a bit more irritable lately. I'm trying to give up cigarettes...
I think Toby just keeps digging his hole deeper. It probably would be a good idea to give up now.
So far it is ok to insinuate we are a bunch of racists and that anyone who says they can appreciate how he feels is insulting, ignorant and I presume a racist as well.
He is saying it isn't about racism. I'm curious to know what he is talking about then. Maybe it has something to do with the weather in the rural south?
