There is no doubt that we have an obligation to the clients but by definition an agent represents the company and the majority of contracts are agent contracts.. On the other hand a Broker represents the client which opens up whole new area of liability.. I never reccomend an agent use "Broker" as his/her title for that reason.I also feel that my 1st responsibility is to my client. They are MY client, not the company's. I found them, the company didn't.
I know we're talking FE here, but it's common place to replace your own clients with new Med Supp companies. If you don't do it, another agent will.
