My First Week in the Wild World of FE

My biggest challenge is getting faster getting in and out cuz these folks tell me EVERYTHING.

Sounds like you just need to learn the technique of controlling the conversation by asking questions. When the prospect wonders off into netherland, you merely say, BTW Mr Prospect, could you tell me more about what concerned you enough to send in the DM card...? [or whatever subject or area you want to redirect them to]

The person who asks the questions controls the convo.

Well, it is never a dull moment that is for sure, but I have no trouble getting in the home (I just get my leads and door knock) and I can usually get in homes cold ,too. My biggest challenge is getting faster getting in and out cuz these folks tell me EVERYTHING..
HAVE AN AMAZING , Monday

My daughter is in insurance and she can get in almost any door. Most people will talk to her.

At paige23., which fe company did you sign up with? Did you have anyone train you on the field? At jdeasy. Regarding that woman who did amazingly well, when you say she did it without leads. You mean she just prospected herself. Was she also with Efes? Thanks.

Yes, she is with EFES. She was on the lead program at one time. Now she just brokers with EFES. She is completely referral based and doorknocking. More referrals.

She lives on the south side of Chicago. She works her own neighborhood. She has been doing this a long, long time. She has simply become the "go to" person in her neighborhoods for burial insurance.

I'd bet it is real tough to get into one of her homes.

When I started at John Hancock there was a lady like that there. She worked the downtown part of Oakland. Dressed and talked like a church lady. But try to poach one of her clients and she would cut you. :embarrassed:

I would say this lady is just that tough. The other side of the coin is that not many agent would wander into her neighborhoods. Especially if not from there.

She will tell you that the person she is referred to will not even open the door unless the referer calls them and tells them she is coming.

Back in the day I wrote a load of business in East Oakland and Richmond, CA. Had a few places that the client would have to watch me in or back to the car. All these years later I still have some of those families.

This lady works the SOUTH side of Chi-town -- my bet she's the only one hustlin' that area.
