Here are my thoughts:
If you believe in Jesus (not the maintenance guy, the savior) and believe that God divinely led His penman to write the bible, then you have to refer to the bible to resolve any arguments by looking to back it up with scripture.
You can't choose only the pieces of the bible that suit you and your lifestyle or ideals, while ignoring the rest. It's one way only.
So if you guys continue to discuss this, base it on the word of God, not what man has done to corrupt it or opinions. With that, I'm not saying you have corrupted it, but there is definite preaching (and pride) going on, rather than teaching.

I've said over and over how BAD a Christian I am and except for the grace of God would not even be alive. I'm not competing with you at all! We are discussing our worldviews, which happen to be polar opposites. If you don't think I get it, that is quite alright, and if you get nothing from my posts, that is okay too. I haven't looked lately but I think there are a whole lot of folks who read these posts. I'm not using you, man, God is using us both! Neither one of us can thwart His will in this deal. And probably neither one of us will ever know this side of Heaven, the spiritual ramifications that have occurred sometime, somewhere, with someone. That is completely up to Him.
I thank you for exposing and discussing your worldview, through which I have been challenged to discuss mine, and more importantly, the Basis of my worldview. I have enjoyed it very much.
There are two ways to attempt to convince: love or fear. I have chosen the latter here, what you call "my Jesus vs. your Jesus". I really don't like that terminology, and it certainly does not apply as far as I am concerned, but I have no problem accepting it as a way for folks to avoid certain topics or explain things away without having to engage fully and honestly in disagreeing with another's position. By fear I mean strong logical arguments as opposed to touchy feely lovey dovey stuff that is so in vogue today. I believe you are of the persuasion that everyone has their "own" different "concept" of Jesus, that there are no absolutes, (I may be wrong), and this is where you come up with the faulty Jesus vs. Jesus thing. Jesus Christ is the SAME yesterday (eternity past), today (present), and forever (the eternal future) FOR EVERYONE. Those are HIS words. Our little pea brain concepts really don't count if they don't line up with His. Again, that's a breach of the second commandment, and as has been stated before, we are ALL guilty. But that in no way changes the absolute fact of Who He is. That's ludicrous. He wrote it down for us and it is not difficult to understand. We can both differ in how we break the second commandment (and we both do break it - I emphasize that again, you seem to think I think I don't break ANY commandments), but the words of Christ are absolute and singular in meaning and are of NO private interpretation - the bible says that, clearly and absolutely.
If you think I'm thick, that's okay, but I don't relish the imagery of "my Jesus can beat up your Jesus". It makes absolutely no sense to me, but use it if you may. You have overused it and I might suggest trying another analogy, but no matter.
I'm guilty as charged for being "thick" but I rather think of it as deep, intense, or focused, which gets perceived as "thick". I've not put anyone down to make me look better, God forbid. I've just explained my biblical worldview; it's old fashioned and out of fashion nowadays. But I AM disappointed that you just describe me as thick, not getting it, telling me to "think man think", that I'm playing games, that I'm just trying to shout you down. None of that is really engaging in the topics of discussion. I state a position I take, or something I believe, and state why, as well as give the basis for that position or belief (mine is the Bible). What I was hoping was that if you disagree, that you would state YOUR position OR why you don't agree with mine, and WHY, and as importantly, how you arrived at your position and what is the basis for it. I've always said I agree to disagree. But you have hardly tried. Why do you even bother to post?
Well, that's not for me to answer, but I'm glad you post, what would a discussion be with only one side? We are fallible humans, God is the only one who has ONE side, the absolutely and completely correct side. He wishes for us to pursue it, and learn it, and grow in the grace of the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ - NOT engage in fallible, fallen, sinful, human feelings and perceptions and ideas, that constantly change with the chemistry in our physical bodies and minds.
Well, it's late, I've greatly enjoyed the discourse, and I pray someone has been enriched by it in a Godly way, and if so I humbly rejoice if I may have played a small part in any way.
I don't believe in Luck but I do pray that God bless you!
Oh...wanna discuss luck and chance sometime? Well, perhaps another day, another year.
Thanks also goes to Sam (owner) and Scott (mod) for not censoring these posts and allowing them to remain, for who knows WHEN someone may discover them sometime in the future?
I am certainly no threat to any person, I would never wish to harm anyone. But if I'm a threat to ignorance, apathy, and certain ideas such as atheism, liberalism, and false religions and concepts, then that's okay I suppose.
You may have the last word if you wish.
Peace.
