Problems with Phase II (Identify Verification)

I have been trying to gain access to the CMS Portal for a couple of weeks. I've used multiple browsers, and have attempted the login at various times. I get the same error every time.

"The CMS Enterprise Portal was not able to process your request at this time, please try again later."

The rep that I spoke with from CMS said to "try to login every 5 minutes, this should increase your chances - good luck man!"

I just logged in....no problems.....

When I try to add access to the SHOP application, the available roles are:

Administrator
Associate
Business Owner Representative

There's no option for the role "broker/agent" like for the FFM application.

Which SHOP role is the correct one for an agent/broker to select?

It could be me - maybe you could help? Following is what I have done / am doing:

- I would post the link, but I am lacking 3 posts before that is permitted.

1) I have Registered at the CMS Enterprise Portal approx 2 weeks ago.

2) I have attempted to login to the "CMS Secure Portal" at various times of the day, with 2 dif browsers.

3) Attempting to login I - "accept" the ageement...

4) ...I enter my User Name & Password...

5) ...I get the following message:

- "The CMS Enterprise Portal was not able to process your request at this time, please try again later."

- I have tried changing my password. The rep with CMS told me that they were experiencing these errors, and that I should try to login every 5 minutes. I can't say that I have been attempting it every 5 minutes, but I have attempted multiple times per day. If you see anything that I am missing I would greatly appreciate you pointing it out. Thanks!

did you use the login from this site.....

I have completed Part I at that URL. I have printed my certs of completion of the "Marketplace Basics Exam, Individual Exam, and Agreement."

My understaning is that Part II (ID Verification) is to take place at the CMS Enterprise Portal (1 more post & I can supply the specific link).

----------

Just got 20 - took a content lacking post on another thread, but here is the link that I am using to attempt to complete the Phase/Part II of the Medicare ID Process:

Thanks!

A road block at every turn!

I entered my NPN on the application access screen. My username for Marketplace website is also my NPN, which is the second piece of required information to get to verification screen. I keep getting error that either my NPN or username are incorrect. I've gone back and confirmed that these are correct.

Anyone have this issue or has anyone overcome this issue?
Just got an email from them which stated that they are working on my inquiry and will respond within two days. Until then I'm moving on to other things. I'll chech back at the end of the week. If I get any useful answers I'll update everyone.

Those are the same options I have, but I believe from other's that I'm registered, I did pick a roll in the beginning as FFM agent/broker.

The CMS Enterprise Portal is no longer a back-of-the-woods website with infrequent visitations from Medicare and Medicaid medical providers. Thanks to ObamaCare, it's getting swamped with entirely new user-groups. (Agents, Navigators, Assisters, et.al.)

The ability to successfully login depends on the traffic at that particular moment. And, for some unknown reason, if you're not able to login, the system generates a variety of error messages that say everything but, "Due to heavy traffic..Try again in a few minutes."

BTW.. is there any reason to ever login to the Portal again after you've successfully verified your identity and created a role for yourself?

Well, the biggest reason is to check once and awhile to see if your role (not "roll," that was funny, on some other post) is still there.

I had to repeat some of the Phase I training because this *** system "forgot" that I had passed it -- even though I had printed the certificates.

I'd almost be willing to bet my next house payment that we won't be able to successfully process applications on 10/1/13. If I'm wrong, cool.
