Securus Raises Platinum Lead Prices By $4.00 (Nearly 20 Percent)

I have a company that puts in writing for me and my agents a 1.7% guarantee on every 1000 piece mailer dropped. Agency wide I'm getting 2.4% in parts of NC I'm getting over 3%. My cost is 400 per 1000

That is an awesome return rate and a no brainer to do your own mail. Paying $25 a lead and having a contract between 60 and 90% is horrible. I have also had agents tell me they feel like these leads are given to multiple agents as well.

At $25 per lead that's going to be real unattractive if the contracts are less than 100%

Do they lower the cost based on production like Equita does?

That's fantastic to get that kind of return on FE mailers today.

I would absolutely do my own mail with that kind of return.

Here .7% is a good return. Many are down around .3 or .4.

It is a fixed cost which does not change. 100% contracts are hard to find there as they have some folks that came over from the NAA program. If you have the right manager, ie Tim Winders, you would be ok.

Ya I was using a company that would pull good then bad returns. Prblm is when you have a new agent and they get hosed on a couple of 1,000 piece mailers it can't take even a good agent out of this business. So I found one that put it in writing I've never had to use it. They won't mail for individual agents only agency's and company's so I have to collect all the orders place them and deliver the leads to the agents it's a ton of administration but it is worth it for the agents.

Sorry I only share the name with my agents so they know who is doing the mailers I won't post it out right I went to way to much trblm and expense to find them. ............................................

I do get a feeling multiple agents work the Securus leads.

My appointment setter and I think what Secrus is doing is ordering en mass (5000 piece mail drop), then dripping it out weekly as your reserve grows excessive.

I am getting a combo of 3-4 week old leads which is to be expected, as well as 7-8 week old leads where I am the 3rd agent in a rural area to contact the prospect.

Plus I feel pretty confident Securus buys old leads from Main Street that were purchased by non-Securus agents.

This is the risk you take when hooked up with any "marketing group". Maybe the subsidized leads aren't so "cheap" after all?
