Senior Life Unannounced Rate Increase-Normal/Abnormal?

It's an interesting study to see why some agents have an obsession towards a measly $4 monthly membership fee that the consumer agrees to pay. Especially when Legacy improves the agent's closing %, getting some of those procrastinators to go ahead and sign up, which is a benefit for their family. Sounds like a good thing to me, for both the agent and the insured's family.

Good to know.

Lol !

Do you think you're pumping up your greenies at a Senior Life recruiting seminar that have zero experience in the FE market?

You continue to market them here and not answer questions from skilled seasoned FE agents?

Lol !

I can just imagine Legacy negotiating on a phone in a pandemic good luck. There are families that have their loved ones in the care of funeral homes right now who can't even get in for weeks to have an arrangement conference. I think the no walk policy walked away a long time ago.

  • Do you want a traditional burial or are you open to the idea of cremation?
  • Do you have a cemetery plot? If you don't, you need one before you can finalize any kind of service arrangement.
  • Where do you want the service held? The funeral home chapel, your church, your synagogue, or the cemetery?
  • When would you like the service to take place? Decide on a specific date and time for the funeral service.
  • How do you want the body of the deceased to be prepared?
  • What type of casket or urn do you want?
  • Do you want military presence at the cemetery? This is an option for eligible service or former service members. If you choose to have military honors at the burial, be ready to provide copies of your loved one's military discharge papers to the funeral director.
  • Will there be a traditional Eulogy? Who will present it?
  • Do you want a private burial or one that's open to all who would wish to come?
Other things that are worth considering when making funeral arrangements include:

  • How many limousines do you need for the procession?
  • Which charity, organization, or synagogue, church, does the deceased want to make donations in his or her memory?
  • Do you want people to share their memories of the deceased?
  • Do you want an obituary in the paper or on our website?
  • Do you want some personal friends, close relatives, or business partners to have service responsibilities?

  • *******Actually,Legacy flys in their private jet one of their executives,he meets with the family and funeral director to work out the details.

  • The casket arrives the next day !
********Piece a cake, worth every penny of the $4 a month for the Legacy memebership !

....and the funeral director in a pandemic is going to negotiate with Legacy, yawn?
I'm actually surprised most funeral homes haven't drastically raised prices.
...then I read about the private jet and the and the executive flying in, popcorn!

Actually, the funeral director negotiates with the family, not Legacy. After all, it's the family (bene.) that has the check that pays the funeral home of their choice. Legacy doesn't pay the funeral home, the family does.

Legacy will get the price lists of funeral homes in the area and presents this info to the family, usually in an hour or so. If the funeral director wants to earn the business he/she will negotiate with the family and match or beat the price of the funeral home with the cheapest funeral services that Legacy found.

And if the funeral director wants to be the one to sell the casket, vault, and/or monument then he/she will now have to match the price of this merchandise that Legacy offers ($2950). This allows the family to get the casket, vault, and monument for $2950 rather than what the funeral home usually charges other customers that don't have the benefits of Legacy ($7000-$8000).

I wasn't aware that Legacy flew someone to the family to give hands on assistance dealing with the funeral home. That's great as the family is usually vulnerable to over paying at this time of grief. Flying in a negotiator to help the family would be called first class service by most people.

Whatever works is fair. A while back I called a general manager at an SCI combo location (cemetery and funeral home same location) just to bypass the cemetery sales counselor for a client and asked for professional courtesy discount, small sob story, I even suggested he discount the service fees ( labor) all preneed so the salesman wouldn't be harmed. He was nice enough to discount $3,000 made me look good enough I was able to steal the preneed funeral to a competitor. I did let him know I worked for the company 25 years and my wife still manages a location I just forgot to mention the part that I am a competitor now.

Are trying to say that "you are a man with integrity"? Or are you trying to say "you are a man without integrity"? This is a serious question.
