Setting Appointments from Received Lead Cards

posted by selling dog

I have a Garmin Nuvi 1300 (2 years old) I put address in and save under favorites, I do this with each address I plan to call on that day. When I open favorites it shows the addresses and distance to each according to my present location. I usually save addresses with prospect name, that way when I arrive I can just pull that lead out of my stack.

When you open your favorites will it show them all at once so you know which ones are closist or do you have to log on each one individually?

btw thanks for all your help

My Garmin Nuvi will show addresses by proximity to your current location. I save address by prospect name (Mr. Jones) it also shows address and distance from my current location, you then hit "go to" to load map, when I arrive at location I pick out the prospect card and go in, then delete it.

When you enter lots of prospects, you have to scroll down through them to get to the correct one (mr.Johnson). I use it for appointments and door knocking in case a appointment cancels (This never happens) :) then I can door knock the closest prospect.

I hope this helps, It took me a year before I found this function :D

Garmin needs to fix downtown Atlanta. It tells you to stay right the entire time. It should only tell me when I'm fixing to turn.

If you live in Atlanta and have one you know what I'm talking about.

It's absolutely a violation of state insurance laws to entice someone to offer a gift worth more than a minimum amount, contingent upon the sale of a insurance product.

I don't know the exact amount and it may vary by state, but I recall in NY it was at one time limited to $10.00. It falls under the rules & regs of "Rebating". You might want to go to your DOI's website and see if you can find it.

So, you could offer a promotional item (or anything) with a value of up to $10. Anything higher is a violation.

A number of years ago I was going to offer my clients a $100 gift certificate if a referral given to me resulted in a LTC sale. I ran it by compliance and they immediately came back and said "no way".

In CA, you can give any amount you want as long as it's not contingent on the sale. You can pay $200 a referral if you like, but if they don't buy, you still fork up the cash to the referee.

The laws vary by state, just figure if you want to give something away for a referral, it can't be related to the policy the referee already has and it can't be contingent on a sale to the referral.

If you're doing the customer service aspect of your business right you shouldn't need to pay for referrals. Just ask. Take care of the people who give them to you with many "thank you" s and gift cards on holidays. That way you're giving because you care and not just because they sent you a sale.

The reason I bought my 1st GPS was because I was working in the Atlanta area. I was lost the whole time I was down there.

Someone told me what a GPS was so I stopped in a Best Buy store and back then the cheapest ones were around $1,100. I didn't care what the price was because I was so lost.

It was the greatest invention since the fax machine in my opinion.

Those old ones were big as a brick but had some features that the new ones don't even have.

When I bought my car and later my wife's car, I had Pioneer satellite/bluetooth/gps radios installed. Over $1,000 but well worth it. Looks like it was original equipment and nothing has to hang off the windshield and no cords all over the place.

I need it to find my way home from the bar when I can't see straight.

On the topic of GPSs:

I use a Magellan. I can put 20 addresses in and optimize the route from my current location. After I visit a location I immediately add another and re-optimize the route. It has saved, and made me so much $$.

I am looking for a GPS that will allow me to optimize more than 20 addresses at a time. Anyone out there have one?

Does anyone have a GPS that has Bluetooth speakerphone that they are happy with?

When cars have the hands free Bluetooth speaker phone it works great. But I've tried the visor clip on ones and the Garmin GPS one and they are all too quiet.

Any suggestions?
