Setting Appointments from Received Lead Cards

The reason I bought my 1st GPS was because I was working in the Atlanta area. I was lost the whole time I was down there.

Someone told me what a GPS was so I stopped in a Best Buy store and back then the cheapest ones were around $1,100. I didn't care what the price was because I was so lost.

It was the greatest invention since the fax machine in my opinion.

Those old ones were big as a brick but had some features that the new ones don't even have.

I didn't know that you ever worked in Atlanta?

In CA, you can give any amount you want as long as it's not contingent on the sale. You can pay $200 a referral if you like, but if they don't buy, you still fork up the cash to the referee.

The laws vary by state, just figure if you want to give something away for a referral, it can't be related to the policy the referee already has and it can't be contingent on a sale to the referral.

If you're doing the customer service aspect of your business right you shouldn't need to pay for referrals. Just ask. Take care of the people who give them to you with many "thank you" s and gift cards on holidays. That way you're giving because you care and not just because they sent you a sale.

I've been in practically every funeral home in Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee and the northern half of Georgia. I used to train funeral home agents in those areas.

I believe you're right......

You can compensate someone for any amount you want for a referral. However, you cannot make that compensation (money or merchandise) contingent upon a sale.

In my case, I was going to offer a $100 gift certificate to anyone who provided me with a referral only if the referred person purchased a policy.

I was advised correctly that doing it that way was against the rules & regs of the NYS DOI.

Had an agent call me to ask me if they can call the set appointments i give them for final expense, almost dropped my i phone. some agents just don't want to work , look if you are in this business and cant take no's well get out. and this thing about the phone is for random cold calling , not leads or appointments. done and done. I might need better agents to work for me . lol lol

If anyone here has found a successful way to either set appts or have an appt setter or method to setting appts SPECIFICALLY in Calif.....please let me know!!

No, you CANNOT offer to pay their premium.

Lots of shady sh*t happens in FE.. ask anybody that's walked in behind CL

I dont have enough fingers to count how many agents that I coulda blown the whistle on..

A "replacement" is a great thing..more people here should try it...

Theres one CL agent that's been calling me everytime I replace his sh*t.. The conversation last like 1/2 second... "Is this?? ......" *dial tone*
