Settlers 2018 Changes

Sure seems like Silver is falling more in line with standard rates like UHL Delux, Trans Standard, etc. plus some of the tobacco rates have really increased.
They have definitely moved themselves in to being a niche player. Good for a 5'2" 425 pound 40 year old.

Cerebral Palsy,
Down Syndrome, Mental Retardation, Muscular Dystrophy, Spina Bifida if over 25.. ALS, Obesity.... especially handy on heavy younger folks since the go down to age 0....
How do they do the interview for someone with Mental Retardation? I have a request, but thought that she would not pass the interview...

They will let the person with POA do the interview. No POA, no deal. Doesn't matter if it's their parent. If the parent is not also their POA then business prevention kicks in.

And for the overweight, the settlers agent guide says to not put obese people with them.

settlers didn't make themselves into a niche company. They have always been a niche company. They just got worse at it.

That's my point. I have a lot of respect for Louis and why an agent does or does not write a company is a personal choice. With Settlers, I just don't see the attraction. For the business they want, they really aren't competitive in either rate or underwriting. For the business where they do well, they don't want much of it. But they want a lot of business from agents.

The attraction for me has pretty much dissipated..
