Terminated?!

Attila.....

We did a Chapter 13 because it was the best option for our circumstances. Our payback period is 5 years and, yes, I would guess that might look "iffy" to them. I think I might just let it go and not appeal it...but then I don't know either. Decisions, decisions......

Unfortunately I don't think you have a chance in your appeal. As you know, at any time you can either terminate your Ch13, or convert it to a Chapter 7.
If all you are doing is paying off unsecured debt, PLEASE get a second opinion. Even if you complete your CH13, you will then have two years or more before any creditor or financial company will look at you.

If you are doing a Chapter 13 to "maintain your honor" by paying back your debts, please get a second opinion. Either way I feel bad you and your family are in this situation.

I am not an attorney, tax professional or anyone with letters after his name! All the best.

Read your contract. Chances are they will continue to pay your renewals. You just can't sell new policies.

I have been selling UHC/AARP Medicare Supplements and Medicare Advantage Plans for 4 years now, and I get THIS?

When I called PHD (which is no help at all), I got "they do a background check every year."

I asked how many years they have been doing this, and got no answer. My credit is just as lousy as it was three and two years ago.

So, they gave me this number to a TPA that does the background checks, and I had to call them, and have them MAIL me a report that I can dispute.

Looks like MoO is getting more of my business.

thanks for posting that bob. My upline also told me about that also. They've had ppl that were direct employees of UHC that became brokers that were denied for the same reason.. How do they expect to have any agents to peddle their products? UHC (excuse me, AARP) is more anti-agent than any of them that I've seen.

As soon as my renewals hit $1,000 a month UHC/AARP has been trying to Terminate me. Backround checks, Requesting info on up to date EO, Requesting copies of Scope of appointments. This is it ive decided to dump my renewals and not certify with them this next year.
I stopped writing MAs over a year ago but was just collecting the renewals. its not worth it anymore.

why throw $$ away. Just do the online renewal and don't write them anymore.

That is a sad situation but do you see the irony that you are asking a Heath insurance company to forgive your problems because you chose to take your chances of going without health insurance?

I don't think that is going to soften them up too much.

Talk about beating someone up when they're down.

Technically renewals are not paid in this case per the contract, so please call PHD and talk to them, for peace of mind. They may pay the renewals regardless, but it is definitely a concern. I would ask to be certain, the sooner the better. Also, have you appealed the decision? You would have a chance at winning the appeal, especially if you can obtain a supporting letter from your upline/FMO. Good luck, and please let us know what PHD says, if you are going to receive your renewals. I sure hope so.

GOOD NEWS!
UHC has approved my appeal of my termination.
I got a payback plan setup with a third party company which should get my big medical bills (the reason I was terminated) paid off in less than four years. They accepted that along with my groveling showing them the prostate cancer was NOT PLANNED! LOL

THANK YOU to all the good folks on here who gave words of encouragement and advice. This forum is full of some pretty compassionate people.

To others who have been terminated for this kind of reason, all I can say is to keep trying. All the best to you.

Congrats!!!

That is great news! This also should encourage others to appeal if they have been terminated. It never hurts to ask, and if the issue is credit related, there is a pretty decent chance of success.
