Transamerica Issues

Bumping this thread... because I am :arghh:

I am thinking of calling the State Insurance Dept. then calling Transamerica's customer service number and seeing how long we can be on hold.

Any thoughts!?

Don't reckon there is any state regulation requiring a company to answer the phone within a specified amount of time so what would that accomplish other than wasting an hour or so of your time? :skeptical:

Just blowing off some steam, much better than allowing them to cause me to stroke out.

I'm getting the last laugh though... replaced two last week, working on one for this week. :) A case of their poor customer service making me money.

I honestly cannot believe they are still in business. I tried to call them yesterday and was on hold for over 4 hours.

Bumping a thread that is little over a year old.

Has anyone had to call Trans lately? The on hold time has become an issue for me. Between waiting on hold for claims, and customer service, I am racking up substantial time on the phone.

I thought the new changes they were making were going to help in this matter.

I had a client call me the other day an complain how long it took them on the phone to ask about a beni change.

Here I go again... my underwear is up in a bundle over Trans. :arghh::wacko:

Is it just me they don't like or are any of you back to square one with this company?

I didn't know the meaning of stupid until I got into FE. Like many other companies, they take things to a another level of stupid when it comes to doing business.

Do you think any of our people can fill out the form for SSBO when they get a new DE card ?

All of these companies loose tons of money because of horrible agent service, customer services issues.

As JD said "business prevention department ".

On a brighter note....their efts are still good !

I still haven't reached anyone... I feel sorry for the seniors that try to call them. I mean heck, it's the end of the week, and not right after a major holiday. What is their excuse for a 3 hour hold?

Trying to see which one can get the world record for hold time? I promise, any federal agency is gonna be hard to beat!:1mad:

I've noticed that some companies I do business with, who have long phone holds, will respond pretty quickly on a chat function. Does TA have a chat button on their site, either for customers or agents?

I don't write them, but I have had the unfortunate experience of calling them during a review to get current bene info, etc. The last time I needed to call them, I made the call, then put the phone on speaker while I handled some other paperwork for the client. That time was only 45 minutes. But I'm just gonna say that anything longer than about 2 minutes is too long.

I know everybody's working from home and companies are using that as an excuse for long hold times. But that's all it is - an excuse. That may have been reasonable for about two weeks while they made the transition. But not a year later!

Some businesses have been working from home for years with zero decline in service by doing so. I called my smallest carrier this morning, who has had nearly all the customer service people working from home for the past year. I got right through, and when I needed to transfer to a different person, it was immediate. You would never know they were working from home. A big company like TA really has NO excuse at this point, IMO!

Glad this got bumped.

Question - how do you handle customer service with them once they terminate you? A three way call is impossible. I just got term'd for non production. I am thinking I may just write myself a small deal for a year. But then what?

Gawd, they are a pain in the ass.
Is anyone writing them? Are they issuing business timely?

Yes,COPD T,crazy heart meds preferred, all DE. Eapp only. Have good success there.

It's their CS that's the problem......they're impossible l
