Is it just me or have yall noticed that UHLs rates come up near the top of Fexquotes a lit of times? I know they had a rate change about 6mos ago where they actually raise their rates but lowered their modal factor, so their monthly payment is a lil lower. But when I checked it didn't seem that much lower, so I haven't used them much... But they are usually pretty high on the list I've noticed!

Has anyone been using them regularly since their rate change?

I use them some also. Mainly for the simplified issue ROP term. What you are seeing are the Provider rates. Not the regular FE products.
 
Yeah you gotta be careful. FEX Quotes lists their traditional whole life rates as well (Provider is the product name).

If your client can qualify for traditional whole life, the best rates I have found are Royal Neighbors Essential Whole Life product, as well as Sagicor Life's whole life.

Not sure why FEX won't put RNA's traditional rates on there, as they did for UHL's. I asked my IMO, who said he emailed them, but never heard back regarding his request to add such rates for RNA.

Ooooooh ok, well since its a FE app, it shouldnt list that or RNA's Essential prices, those are not really FE products, although sometimes in some instances u can use them!

The way I look at it, if you have a single person with no kids then, as we all know, RNA is the way to go (Hey, I'm a poet!). Much cheaper than the Provider. But what if this person has 3 or 4 kids they also want to cover? If you write RNA and individual plans on all the kids it may go beyond their budget. But by adding the CTR on the Provider then you can possibly stay within their budget. I believe that RNA has a CTR in some states but, alas....not in Florida. :no:

If all you do for the family is add a rider then all they have is a rider. That may be fine for the folks that don't have a clue what was just done for, [to?], them.

So who adds the rider and not explain it to them and how it works? I do. Twice. Both at the time of the sale and at policy delivery. The alternative seems to be for them to have no insurance at all if they can't afford 4 or 5 separate plans. Each kid would be 6 to 9 bucks. Last week I met with two different women, both with 7 kids each (seven, not a typo). I showed them both how they can cover 8 people for less than 25 bucks and still haven't written the apps yet. I see alot of poor people, maybe I should door knock on houses that actually have doors. :laugh:
 
Speaking of kids/grand kids riders...how exactly do they work?

You purchase X amount of coverage and at 18 they can convert it to an individual policy. Maybe even 5x the coverage with no UW?

I'm just going off what I think I remember hearing along the way.

They work great. I have done many over the years I can not imagine not offering them to most parents. I have many stories of people using them. If a couple only have one child and will never have another then not as good. Two or more children. Very good. 4 or more, no brainer. Even if you sell them individual child policies.
