Lead Closing Ratio

Your math, your comprehension, or both suck.

Leads to Appointment ratio
Appointment to Close ratio
Leads to Close ratio

List your creds: How long in the business? What are your numbers on the above three ratios? What can an average agent expect?

If you want to call out BS, back it up with fact, not more BS.
Leads to appointment. Around 35 percent.
Appointment to close: roughly 50 percent. Should be able to clean up a couple more on door knocks. Never expect anything on the phone. I also have never worked EFES leads. Maybe EFES leads are as amazing as JD says.

It ain't the leads. I use E64's now with the same results as the EFES leads.

That would equate to 17% close off appts with 1 sale from DK for a total of 20%. Sounds realistic for newb.

Good debate. Thank you.

It's good to see both sides.

Does anyone have feedback based on the leads they are running? I'm deep into making a plan.

How far off do you think my numbers are?
I am only 4months in.
Fixed lead (states insurance): 23%
Dropped lead (no insurance stated): 20%
Phone leads: 20%
Aged leads: 15%

I am trying to make a realistic plan assuming I'm relatively new. . This is not about finding "peak" results. In fact, I will probably dumb down responses for my own benefit.

If you think I'm dumbing down too much, or not enough, please advise.

Those are very goo number for a new agent. In fact, terrific numbers. Looks like you get more of the fixed life insurance leads.

I prefer the lead to not say life insurance on it but that's after years of doing this. I think newer agents are better served with a life insurance lead.

Nonsense. Every top producer I know closes at least 25% of lead and set appointments.

Well, except for one. He DK's the leads to set appointments. Very inefficient but it works for him.

You are at roughly 20% Leads to Close ratio. JD claims TOP producers close at least 25%. You are only 5% away from being a TOP producer. Where's the BS?

I've been running Steve/Jane leads for awhile. They're hit and miss. All TM leads seem to bring out the crazies broker than SAI during AEP. But they're cheap if you pick them up at the right time. Plus I'm pretty sure my appt setter just pretends their DM leads anyway lol.

If you're trained properly, you can easily set 70% of leads to appts. If only 50%, you still have 10 appts. You'll fall into two lay downs from that. And 1-3 replacements that you can capture the premium.

Biggest thing is buy leads. If you go the Steve/Jane route, just buy more. Any group of prospects that will have a conversation with a recording are going to include a higher number of flakes. But flakes buy insurance too ;)

Your close ratio is strong at 50% of your appointments.. Would appear you need to work on appointment setting skills.. But even as it is, you are closing 17.5% of your leads... If you get more than one app, say husband and wife, at an appointment, do you count that as one sale or two? I count it as one but I notice that a lot of the agetns on here count it as two.. That would increase thier sale to lead ratio.

Appts from leads by phone. No agent should be told 10 appointments from 20 leads. Not fair!

Yet it happens everyday. You can do three things:

1. Work and get better at it
2. Decide it's not your strength and hire an appt setter
3. Cry about it

Choice is yours
